From my personal observations, this tends to be true. I rarely see two young dark skinned couples, or two light skinned couples. I've seen ignorant comments from both genders so it's not a surprise when those who have been the victims of racism from their own people date outside of their race. Colorism is sadly still an issue for both black men and women.

I'm not going to go back and forth because these arguments are redundant. There are black actors who date non-black women but you very rarely hear anyone comment on their relationships. Why? Because they don't feel the need to down 'black woman' as their reason for dating out. Taye Diggs dug his own grave (as did Wesley Snipes) for insulting the very same women he came from. No, we won't ever know conclusively if there are those that just dislike him solely for the color of his wife's skin but he didn't make it easy generalizing all black women.
