damn!! i jus thought of somethin' about gus's plan for jesse ... after the fake robbery attempt and mike was callin' for a ride after it looked like jesse took off...

that plan was more ingenious than i thought ... if plays out with jesse comin' back ... then gus knows he has another potentially loyal soldier ...

BUT IF IT PLAYS OUT THE OTHER WAY... and jesse takes off and decides to take the cash in those bags and head to parts unknown ... then gus has gotten rid of jesse without killin' him ... and he can tell walt that he left of his own free will... and the stolen cash will be written off as a cost of doin' business...

gus & mike could basically tell walt the truth that ... they were pickin' up some dead drops ... when a stick up crew tried to rob them ... jesse drove off and got away ... maybe jesse even calls walt himself and tells him the story first-hand to make it more believable...

walt will probably think that's bullshit ... but what can he really say .. since he spoke to jesse on the phone the day before ..when he was in the car with mike ...and jesse didn't sound under duress ....

that's deep ....

although if gus thought walt was a liability before ...wait till he finds out that he can't keep his mouth shut in front of his brother-in-law who happens to be a DEA agent...

"Breaking news about Breaking Bad: fans of the hit AMC series can look forward to one last fix.

The network renewed the critical hit about a chemistry teacher-turned-meth-cook on Sunday, but confirmed the upcoming fifth season will be its last. (We can't imagine how we're going to make it without our weekly Walter White hit, but it'll likely involve falling into a funk that resembles Jesse's current downward spiral. On the plus side: Money fights!)

Following weeks of tense negotiations (during which producers reportedly approached rival cable network FX about picking up the series), Sony Pictures Television and AMC ironed out a deal that will see the show produce 16 more episodes after the current season comes to an end. New York Mag's Vulture blog reports the network is still deciding whether to air the 16 episodes as one extended season airing next year, or split them into two, shorter-than-usual seasons, ending in 2013.

Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan said in a statement, "It's a funny irony -- I'd hate to know the date of my own last day on earth, but I'm delighted to know what Walter White's will be (episodically speaking). This is a great gift to me and to my wonderful writers. It's knowledge which will allow us to properly build our story to a satisfying conclusion."

It's been a tumultuous summer of negotiations for AMC. Following costly contract renewals for Mad Men, the network has been looking to keep expenses down by seeking shorter seasons of Breaking Bad and Walking Dead.

Sons of Anarchy showrunner Kurt Sutter publicly blasted the network on Twitter last week, saying: "No one else wants to f--king say it, but the greed of Mad Men is killing the other two best shows on tv -- Breaking Bad and Walking Dead."

Sutter announced yesterday that he was quitting Twitter, posting: "i'm a guy who needs filters. lots of them. it seems that my opinions turn into headlines and my black humor turns into tabloid fodder.” In a longer blog post (titled "Captain Quitter and the Battle of the Super C**ts"), Sutter added, "…My deactivation was pretty much self-preservation. Eventually, I would have said something that got me or someone else buried in a suffocating pile of irrevocable toxic man sh*t."

:yes::yes::yes: What you all playas have to remember Gus is a Restaurant owner. There is relatively no difference between working with criminals and working with fast food employees. In some cases they are one and the same. What Gus does to get things done is positive reinforcement. Positive reinforcement is a motha it can make some of the most laziest workers become the best workers you have ever had.

This dude is using tried and true retail management methods to handle dope business. Walt is a master of chemistry, Gus is a master of management. Remember what Saul said last season."this guy actually reminds me a lot like you". Average citizen type that is able to use work level skill sets to handle illegal issues. Now that Jessie feels that he has a purpose and they are keeping his mind busy which is really what Jessie wanted in the first place. That's why he always wanted to party. He wanted something to keep his mind off of what he has done. Now Gus is giving him that .

He understands Jessie a lot more than Walt which is going to be Walt's downfall. Walt controls Jessie with negative reinforcement do this or else all hell breaks loose with me and you. That only gets the person to do just enough to get by which is what Jessie has been doing for the last few seasons and it has gotten him and Walt into trouble.
This show is not only a drama but a psychological thriller.

If ya'll haven't noticed, this season is an alternate mirror season to last season...last season showed Walt taking control of things and making moves to establish himself as the one who controls everything....this season is showing Walt lose control of everything and the people around him showing they don't need him..Walt wants infamy...he wants it more than he wants to live...Infamy lost is what this season is about so far.

Naw Jesse was and is completely oblivious to what Mike/Gus's motivation is/was for taking him on that run.

Jesse doesn't want to believe what Walt was saying at all.

Walt saw right through that shit.

I loved him taking those Mexican ladies to clean the lab, the whole interaction with them had me laughing. It was fucked up that him doing that had consequences for them, Walt isn't thinking about shit like that lately.

On a side note did anybody notice that at the beginning when Skylar was reading the news article about Gale it had his age listed at 34:eek::eek: No way in hell duke could ever pull off 34 he has to be in his late 40's early 50's even.

did walt think gus was gonna let them women stick around after they saw a multi-million dollar meth lab??

walt's lucky he didn't get them women killed ...

and i knew when ol' boy tried to take that dollar with him ... walt was gonna be like "as is" ...
 
Another episode contributing to Walt losing control of everything around him...he tried to gain it back (women in lab, buying mustang, telling Skylar that he knocks on doors), but at the end, he was back to square one: losing control of everything in his life...that's the theme this season...

Ya'll notice this season isn't as tightly written as last season? its still excellent, but last season was downright classic, classic, tv

I don't think its the writing I think the storyline last year was just more suspenseful ( The twins coming to get Walt, Hank getting shot, Jessie potentially killing some cats on the street and Walt stepping in and doing it, Gus trying to off Walt and the suspense of that and Jessie shooting Gale to end the season).

I think this season is just much more cerebral and more so laying groundwork for the end of this season and going into the final season.

I think the writing is still up to par I just think the suspense and all that was going on last year made it so great and the best season so far IMO.

True but even the opening segments and how they tied the stories together at different points through the season was classic tv...this season, it seems like they are writing as if they don't know what the next episodes will be (I can understand that because at the beginning of the season, they didn't know if they would be back on AMC)

But the opening scene at the beginning of last Sunday episode was great with the carbon monoxide in the truck

Still great tv though, not really upset...just an A+ to an A
 
I can say that last season was my favorite season of the show so far, but the quality hasn't slumped at all in my opinion. This show plays like a great novel. Sure chapters 7-12 were my favorites because of where there were in the storyline, but the other chapter are excellent nonetheless.I love the air of uncertainty that is going throughout this season.

Damn, from this point on I have to say....Hank is not to be underestimated...EVER....!! That dude got a sixth sense for this cop shit..lol!! Yall peep how Gus had a scared look in his eyes after that negotiation was over. My guess is Walt wont have to kill Gus nor will Hank arrest him, the other CARTEL will eliminate Gus first. And we thought them Mexican hitmen who shot Hank was spooky; can you imagine who and what they're about to send at Gus?? Shit, the nigga tried to buy his freedom for 50 million and they wasn't hearing it...50 million bucks and they told his azz NO...:lol: Drug business is cold aint it...

That's all if Jesse don't crack up and confess it all first!!

while watching this episode my wife told me that Hank has a new show

I looked into it seems like he will be an Internal Affairs Officer on CSI NY

So this leads me to believe one thing.

He has gotten too close.

Plus when he ask Junior about how his Dad buy that car on a drop of a dime.

He will figure it out and I expect Walt or Jessie will put one in Hank's dome for the season finally more shocking I expect Walt

Gentlemen, someone from Walt's family is going to get injured or killed to keep him in line. We know Hank is half dead already and he is headed for a finale. Mike is probably going to get a bullet this season. Gus is about to lose his cool officially with Walter. I think Odenkirk is doing too much coke and too paranoid. I think his days are numbered judging by his behaviour.

So on the dead list I am placing:

Hank
Mike
Possibly the lawyer

Anyone brave enough to step up what their dead list is? Jesse is staying til next season. But I don't think Jesse is going to escape his madness. The video game delusions and the relapsing on meth is keeping him from having normalcy :lol:
 
I would really hate to see Gus go tho..without Gus n Mike there is no breaking bad

Whenever Hank gets to close to the truth, the other characters develop plot armor one way or another.

When Hank got too close to Jesse, Walt saved him by a hair with some legal mumbo jumbo.

I predict one of Hank's friends in the DEA will turn out to be a on the cartel payroll and shut that investigation down. Which sucks for Hank because other than being a wiseass, he really ain't a bad dude. In fact, outside of the son, he's the only character on the show who seems to stay within the letter of the law.

Side note: That rehab meeting scene was intense. I knew when Jesse talked about killing that dog, someone was gonna try to go off on him. Props to the writers for calling out America's obsession with dogs

I could be wrong but I doubt 50 mill would be enough for pollo to buy his way out of any deals with the cartel, and the kartel already knows Walt and Jesse killed that drug lord guy which is why they sent those hitmen last season. Pollo is probably thinking Walter is worth way more alive than dead which is why he is sticking his neck out protecting his investment.
There might be more to it that has not been explained yet but 50 million is just not enough to buy off the cartel when they probably make more than that a year with their deal
