Does anyone here run Firefox especially Firefox 6?

If so, is it running incredibly slow for you? I've noticed that it will even eat hard drive space, even though I only have four tabs open and am running no flash videos or anything like that. I've run several malware, spyware, and antivirus programs, so I know that's not the problem.

Man I've been having problems with FF for a while now. I switched back to Internet Explorer and have seen good improvements in security, download speeds, and pop blocking.

Yeah I got it no problems so far been 4 days. I had 5 it started crashing the past couple of weeks so I will see with holding judgement for now.

firefox since v0.0. no pblms ever.
give windows all the ram it can handle 8GB or more & run on 64-bit hardware with 64-bit Win 7.

Ever since I have upgraded, moves a bit choppy at times and the entire browser will shut down on you whenever it wants.

Creature of habit I guess. I still have not gone back to IE or entertained Chrome, even though I have downloaded it.

I almost gave up on ff!

A version of two ago, I was getting horrible

Pop ups, like every 10 mouse clicks!!!

I don't get that anymore, although lower few days

Since "upgrading", my computer is running slower!

I will never use ie! What else is there?

I am still using ff 3.6.21
I heard the newer versions were spotty at best.

I am sorry to say but the new IE seems better than the current FF. I did not use it much only while traveling but it was not that bad.

Slim, the new IE is much improved. All those pop ups that FF was missing do not come through IE at all. For some reason my downloads are blazing fast on IE. Don't sleep my dude. Give it a spin and see if you don't see a difference.

Mine has been messing up for the last week or so. It will play flash videos when it deems necessary and even Gifs barely work sometimes. I may have to switch to Google Chrome for the time being until the problems are fixed.

opera and google chrome

Up until updat 6.0 I was good. Now weven with add-ons off it freezes and my search engines won't respond the way they used to. I switched to Chrome and submitted a bug report to FF. I wish Chrome had the same add-ons because FF eliminated pop up windows to that Livejasmin shit. I hope they get their shit together.

I'm running osx 10.5 and after i upgraded to FF6 it slows down my macbook pro to the point where i can barely use it. even after i terminate the app my cpu still crawls. i literally have to restart to get it running normal again. I just deleted it and now stick with Google Chrome. no issues.

c/s I feel you on this. I am still not too comfortable with IE. I may move on to Chrome.

I was reluctant to update but I did and it's running really good. I downloaded modified add ons of IDM and Imagehost Grabber to work with FF 6 and they are working great. Below is screen cap of the some of the add ons I use.

Add On for Internet Download Manager IDM CC 7.3.5.xpi

Imagehost Grabber for ripping thumbnail posts like Imagevenue, Imagebam and Facebook. Imagehost Grabber-1.6.5.2

Word up. I use Firefox, Opera, Safari, IE 9, Orca, Chrome Dark and Maxthon but Firefox is my main browser. For example I use Opera to upload large and multiple files and Chrome Dark to download files I don't want manged by Internet Download Manager. I have so many add ons in use that I'm pretty much hooked on FF like a fiend.

I don't know about the latest FF stable, but the nightly builds of FF9 are no joke. It blows the latest Chrome/Chromium out of the water on the Sunspider Javascript test.

Yeah I'm about through with Firefox.

I'mma try IE and Dark Google Chrome this weekend.

man... how old are some of yall's computers??? I got FF6 running with no problems..

Mine just updated to FF 6.0.2 and it's running sweet. I don't understand why so many other are having trouble with Firefox.
