or at least prepare to go. So, rush your preparations to completion and get the fuck out of here !!!!

Dave I echo the sentiments of the bros. If you are in the way of the storm move to safe ground. Check in later to let the family know your status.

Peace to you!

I am overwhelmed, truly, by the sentiment. I'm damn near speechless.

But worry less, I'm in Charlotte and we've had exactly one hurricane in forever. The worst we might get is some bad rainstorms, which means the driving around here will be a whole different kind of hell.

If that changes, The Weather Channel will let you know.

Gotta show this to the wife. She swears someone from this board is going to kill me.

Yo Dave stay safe bruh. If something happens to you who in the the hell is gonna co-sign me and Alaskan when Buk comes with another Floyd thread. For real though, stay prepared and safe. Peace.

Classic line!

Be well. For the disagreements we have, remember that we are arguing over what works, and what doesn't, in the effort to improve the world (especially for us).

Peace and safety to you and fam.

Agreed. I mock and condescend because I love (and I think you're dead wrong).:D

Looking for you to check in soon; hoping to hear that you and your fam are O.k. Of course, I realize (I've been in 2 direct hits of Cat 4 canes and numerous brush-bys of Cat 2's and 3's) that there may be massive power and comm outages in NC, some of which may last for days/weeks, (we were without power for 3 consecutive weeks once after a direct hit).

Still, your brothers & sisters in Porn & Politics want to know!

A Greenville, N.C., resident tries to avoid downed power lines after Hurricane Irene struck
Saturday. Thousands of residents of the Eastern Seaboard are without power, and several are
dead, because of the storm.

Associated Press

NEW YORK -- A weakened but still dangerous Hurricane Irene shut down New York and menaced other cities more accustomed to snowstorms than tropical storms as it steamed up the East Coast on Saturday, unloading a foot of rain on North Carolina and Virginia and knocking out power to nearly 1.9 million homes and businesses. At least six people were killed.

Got a nice windy Saturday and that was it. I didn't take my car to AutoBell thinking it was going to rain, didn't even get that.

Thanks for the concern. It was appreciated.

Now, we (us Gulf Coast and East Coast denizens) had all better keep our eyes open for Katia (the replacement name for Katrina) that has the potential to become a Cat 5 storm. The storm is about 7 days right now from the U.S., and there is a possible trough off the east coast that could, could, turn it towards the north.
