I am overwhelmed, truly, by the sentiment. I'm damn near speechless.
But worry less, I'm in Charlotte and we've had exactly one hurricane in forever. The worst we might get is some bad rainstorms, which means the driving around here will be a whole different kind of hell.

Of course, I realize (I've been in 2 direct hits of Cat 4 canes and numerous brush-bys of Cat 2's and 3's) that there may be massive power and comm outages in NC, some of which may last for days/weeks, (we were without power for 3 consecutive weeks once after a direct hit).

Now, we (us Gulf Coast and East Coast denizens) had all better keep our eyes open for Katia (the replacement name for Katrina) that has the potential to become a Cat 5 storm. The storm is about 7 days right now from the U.S., and there is a possible trough off the east coast that could, could, turn it towards the north.
