Total, whiny bullshit. I want any movie about Luke Cage to succeed and having an older lead (especially one without a great track record) would work against it.
You're right on one thing. There is no talking to me if a person insist on pushing their own preference for a particular talent whether he fits or not and completely ignoring any semblance of movie casting history or business.

wrong! the studio wanted dicaprio for stark. but downey had pull and kept insisting and after an audition they couldn't deny his talent and ran with it. i think it was perfect casting.

Micheal Jai White was pitch perfect for Black Dynamite, Luke cage I don't think so. His acting skills are less than stellar. Anyone seen spawn

Cage is a pretty well fleshed out character- not to the extent of Daredevil or Spiderman but well thought out, he still carries guilt for his gang past, and he feels like he abandoned the hood... lets leave abandoning the hood alone - I don't see Crews playing a man with a complicated past - (Please dear God if they do a Luke Cage Movie don't let it be an origin story if an origin needs to be told flashbacks will suffice) With Tyrese - its that I haven't seen him in a roll that commands respect, he is competent, but there is no gravitas

He can't if they use Elba because Idris is already a character in that universe: Heimdall of Asgard.
Of course they could just overlook it but I doubt they will. Chris Evans can be Johnny Storm and Captain America because two different studios handled it.
Personally this is what i'd like to see. But i'm a little confused is he an active member of The Avengers Team or sorta come and go? According to the most recent cartoon ant man, wasp and it would seem Black panther are missing for the avenger movie.
