Forgive me for being late but I just finished watching the film "Super". It is another one of those average joe turn super hero vigilante dark comedy flix. When I first saw the trailer I quickly dismissed it as a Kick Ass knock off, but boy was I wrong!! This film makes Kick Ass look like a Pixar film. What convinced me too watch it was the casting.

Now I'm not here to do a full blown review. I just wanted to get peoples opinions on the two films. I have debated with my friends who have seen both and the consensus is that Kick Ass was the better film. From a production quality I would agree but casting, acting and shock value went too Super. Funny thing is those that liked Kick Ass seemed to hate Super. I loved both films but I laughed more and was more disturbed(in a good way) by Super.

So what say you BGOL Super or Kick Ass?

Kick ass...

I fell aslepp on super twice.

That shit was funny as hell though when dude kept saying touch my car again

Super is definitely an unskilled knock off of Kick-ass! It was on some inside the mind of psycho type shit. Kick-ass was an Action flick with a twist.

Interesting point of view. What most don't know is Super was filmed before Kick-Ass, but since it is an independent movie it took more time to find a distributor.

Kick ass is the winner

Super was ok, but will only watch it again for the comedy of female on male rape... she was seriously intent of taking that dick

I'm placing "SUPER" way above "KICK-ASS".

"KICK-ASS" wanted to be "too cool" for its own good. Especially with its violence. So it came off too disingenuous for me.

"SUPER" on the other hand showed that though silly, actions do have major consequences. Especially when emotionally desperate people are driven to do crazy things. It came off a bit more realistic because it took that tact. That caused me to care for the characters much more. And its violence was more poignant and punishing.

And Ellen Page was HOT in her Boltie costume...

Haven't seen either movie, guess I'm missing out from the way some of you are praising them.

She looked like an anorexic pre-teen. Theres nothing hot about that sir.

And i thought Super was lame as fuck, certainly in comparison to Kick Ass. It looked like a low budget comic parody/skit or a fan created extended short film. I had to force myself to see it through.

just finished watching super it was a good movie...especially with the ending, he saved oh girl and even though she left him dude still found peace in his life....can't believe his side kick ended up dieing...:smh::smh:
