The next super fight as I see it...

Floyd and Pac will happen, but I'm talking after that. If done correctly... Khan v Canelo could be big in a few years. Both have built in fan bases and when Manny retires.. I see Khan picking up a lot of his people.

The biggest fight is possibly between ward and sergio. Both guys are beating all competition in their divisions. To me it is a natural great fight. I keep wanting to see cunningham vs bhop. But that is a pipe dream.

While I like the idea of Ward/Martinez, in terms of "super fight", Khan/Canelo has the true marking of it, for the reasons Alaska noted.

Could be a good fight. Canelo has the power to lay Khan flat with one shot and Khan has the speed and boxing ability to make Canelo look like Chavez against Taylor. I just think Canelo will be at 160 by next year though.

Gamboa vs Donaire

Now THIS is a fight I'd love to see as I think Donaire would have no problem fighting at featherweight right now. To explosive super type athletes with all the talent in the world. Donaire better not waste his prime in the really low weights. That dude has the body type to end his career at 140.

Ward v Martinez would be great but how old is Martinez, again? I don't see him lasting more than three years unless he can't get any money fights. Also, it is questionable if they will have the fanbase for a superfight.

That would be a great fight and I'm glad HBO is trying to shine some light on the lower divisions.

I agree on Canelo at 160 by next year. He's a big boy.

There are plenty of great fights, but superfight also means money and attention.

That's why I agreed with your original idea.

I dont care about the money aspect. Most of those fights are one sided. The thought of competitive fights appeal to me. Which is why I picked ward and sergio. I dont have an opinion one what promoter picks what fight for ppv purposes.

Then you didn't understand the question. If it's not about high stakes and in front of big audience, it's not a "super fight". It might be a super fight but not a Super Fight.

Wait.

Did you agree with me that you did understand what Alaska meant? If so, Scratch my previous comment. Nothing to see here. I'm done.

Anybody else have a fight?

Assuming Khan keeps up what he's doing.....him and PBF at Wembley could be a huge money fight and a better match than Floyd and Hatton.

Hell yeah. Better fight and bigger stakes. Khan still has some glaring weaknesses but he's coming into his prime while Mayweather could play the "aging warrior" gimmick.

I agree with you if the OP and you mean super fight as in ppv sales. But to me a super fight is about the competition level. Sales need not be mentioned. So you guys are talking fights and sales. I wasn't. No biggie.

Okay. That's why I added the part about a fight being a super fight and not be a Super Fight. We've all seen great, great fights but they were in front of 1000 people in a small auditorium/gym and not-too-good fights in front of tens of thousands.

You still are lost. Why is Pac v Floyd a superfight? Even back when most boxing "experts" wanted Floyd v Mosley instead cause Floyd v Pac was "lopsided", it was understood that Pac v Floyd was a superfight, because both fighters were good and both had a ton of fans which on the backend will equal a lot of money.:smh:
