nobody gives a shit about jcrap when is jay electronica dropping.

at this rate he'd had been better off with puff.

take that take that.

I like dude.
He is an above average MC.

But he will flop.
I see a lot of arguments of whether his label and Jay is the reason why he doesn't have buzz.

But in the end he just doesn't offer anything to hook anyone.
This isn't the 90's where rhyming ability is rewarded.

Hopefully after he tries the mainstream route he plays an independent/underground lane.
IMO I don't see him doing anything outside of that.

he will tour with Jay
get paper and visibility and still some fans
should go solid gold
and get platinum paper

I wish he released Friday Night Lights as his album. That shit went hard

why so many "possible" features with jayz pushing him. cant he guarantee a jay-z record and that cee-lo track?

and he's smart with that production thing. if nothing else, he has a name in the game now so he can produce and make moves whether he raps or not.

the other thing he touched on that nobody really says on here is that yea his buzz died down a lil bit and yea his album is overdue but this dude is eating better that most out i bet. constant touring plus production. i bet j.cole, jay elec and all these new cats are holding a couple hundred k in the bank if they are doing it right. plus they dont have to live up to all that "im getting money" shit that rappers were on before the recession. now its cool to just get your paper and be humble with your shit which means you keep more in your pocket.

He might make classic that'll flop. I just wonder if flopping matters as much as it used to because if he is given a lane to keep coming like Bleek was given.... he will build a following and at least be able to get serious bread touring.

Why is it Jay Z's fault that these guys don't put out albums? Is Jay Z preventing them? Like they come up to Jay and say here's the album. And JAY says nope. Not gonna happen?

J cole and the rest of his kind need to go indie man cuz the majors want that good ol coon music thats why people like him and Jay electro are not out yet

The music business requires sales yall

WTF:confused:

The industry is holding Rick Ross up as a front.

With all the videos Cameos and doughnuts you think Rick Ross recoups?

It was hard to recoup when niggas were going platinum x2

jayz is in charge of the label,
the label is the machine,
the machine does what he wants it to do

all he gotta do is say make the J cole album happen.
but right now the machine is making Jay-z next album happen first

no but these dudes hate jay-z so much they make it his fault
in the interview he clearly said the reason why he had no album is because he tours a lot and is busy (aka wasn't working on it that heavy and my schedule wasn't let me totally focus on the album)" i'm not just sitting at home and in the studio i'm on the road" and that he was waiting on the right single (meaning i didn't have a lead single and a strong follow up needed to release the album) and with the possibles jay isn't a possible he will be on there. the rest of them he's waiting on them coming... aka trey songz and cee-lo.

this isn't made up shit i just said, this is what i just heard come out of his own mouth

but let anyone else tell it, its because jay-z is horrible and he doesn't want j.cole to ever come out ever!

Two Million records is about $30 Million for the record label. The artist may not recoup at their rates, but the label is making serious money.

true but nobody is even selling 1 million.

and watch when the album drops
and if it isn't what they expected j cole to bring then they'll say its because jay-z stole his beats and his features and tried to ruin his career.
and if it is a classic debut and he exceeds the hype and hopes people have for them magically it will be in spite of jay-z trying to ruin his career and jay really didn't have anything to do with the album at all and that its all j cole and jay is just gonna try and take credit for j cole's hard work.

I see he has a release date now that Jay-Z has finished WTT. Coincidence? And he still doesnt know his features or line up. I'd be shocked if he makes that release date. I hope he does though.

I don't see anything special about this guy. I listened to that song, and he sounds like a Jay Z wanna be.

All i care about is the next slaughterhouse album anyway.

Possible Jay-Z feature? How is that not a guarantee? This nigga Hov probably forgot Cole was even on Roc Nation. Shit Jay probably doesn't even know he even has Roc Nation.

True speak! :yes::yes:

In her defense, she did say that she was waitin' for da next Slaughterhouse album though. I don't listen to them or J. Cole but, hey. :dunno:

i dont get it. to be honest i kinda agree with her. i think its just the sign of the times, the game is so wack right now anyone marginally decent on the writing side is seen as the next coming of christ.

Did you hear Jayz rap? Now have you heard Jcole rap? Do you think they even sound similar? No way in hell they sound the same. Thats not my opinion thats fact.
