as bad as smackdown is doing right now ratings wise Riley needs to be on Raw where he doesnt have to carry a match. Miz can carry them but I havent seen too many Riley matches yet to see how he performs. The ppv will be a indication of how he will be pushed in the future.

After WWE failed to book Long Island native Zack Ryder on Monday's episode of RAW from the Nassau Coliseum, WWE star Dolph Ziggler went on Twitter and said the company "kicked [Ryder] in the nuts."

Former WWE star Chris Jericho is the latest person to speak out about Ryder being left off television in front of his hometown crowd. Jericho tweeted on Tuesday:

"So LAME that WWE didn't include @ZackRyder on Raw last night. No reason not to!! Wrestling is supposed to be FUN remember? Time to riot..."

Zack Ryder commented on the situation, but was careful not to come off as bitter .. He wrote:

"I wasn't on Raw...(besides all the Ryder signs and chants)...but you can catch me this Thursday on WWE Superstars."

Wade Barrett showed support for Ryder as well on Tuesday, tweeting, "WWWYKI."

I was kind of shocked when he wasnt on there. It was a 3 hour show and it was from Long Island so naturally you figured to see Ryder appear on the show but at least he didnt sound off like Jericho did cause had he blasted them his ass would probably be on the chopping block.

Back in FCW. Being able to talk and work isn't always enough in modern day WWE.

I think he should be on SD for the exact opposite reason. A young guy like him with so little real experience needs a lot of time to develop and he'll get more of that on SD with those veterans (they should have left Rey over there) than he will under the pressure of Raw. Kofi, Dolph, and Swagger used to get 15 minutes easy every Friday night and that spot has been filled by Bryan, Rhodes and Dibiase. It's going to take Riley a lot longer to get good on Raw in those 7 minute matches where everything is so political than on the sometimes more wrestling based Smackdown.

Horrible oversight but Ryder isn't crazy. He knows all he has to do is wait and like when they rehired Matt Hardy, the fans will force WWE's hand.

I don't know why they wasted time drafting Riley to SD and never actually doing it. I see how they used it in the angle to split him and Miz but I guess we're just supposed to forget he works on SD.

Didn't Riley go back to Raw? Because I remember when he got drafted on SD and never actually went to Smackdown aside from a match I think and right after he turned on Miz he went back to Raw? Didn't the "GM" trade for him or re-hire him back to Raw? That's what they stated anyway.
 
Alex Riley was fired by the Miz, then the Raw GM re-hired him, thus making him a Raw superstar again. He's on the Raw Superstars page on WWE.com.

He went on Smackdown one time and interrupted Orton to fight him and got a quick RKO as soon as he entered the ring.

The draft was like a couple weeks before a PPV, then that Orton thing happened that week, then the last couple weeks before the PPV, Riley was still Miz's assistant. Then the Raw after the PPV, Miz fired him.

It didn't shock me because the wwe does petty shit like this all the time. Like whenever they feel the need to humiliate JR whenever they're in Oklahoma, that's vince being a pussy by bullying a fan/hometown favorite.

You're a patient man for typing that out and that shit still makes zero sense. Alex Riley wasn't employed by WWE in the first place so his being drafted was dumb and the Raw GM rehiring him after Miz fires him was even dumber.

I'm not sure what you mean by he wasn't employed. He's been in WWE's development league since 2007 along with most of the other cats from NXT.

They clearly wanted him to win the NXT competition but he didn't win. That didn't stop them from using him as a manager, and putting him in matches with and for the Miz. They used him more than the dude who actually won NXT.

I do agree that him being drafted was dumb.

Eric Young is a nut. He's going around saying that the bylaws of some Impact wrestling bs states that he can only defend his T.V title against tv stars, so I guess dude he was fighting was a tv star?????. BTW I see they bought Jackie back. TNA has a better diva division than WWE

Doubt.This is what TNA and Vince Russo does.Give you enough to think that they're getting things right and then go right back to the dumb,inconsistent nonsensical shit.I think that it's part of the reason why TNA gets compared to WCW so often.

Yes he has been in FCW but according to the storyline he was around because of the personal services contract that he had with the Miz and therefore not a WWE employee again according to the storyline.
 
Smackdown Spoilers for tonight 6-17-2011.

Orton opens the show. Teddy Long tells Orton he can't compete tonight. Long makes a Christain vs. Sheamus match. If Sheamus wins he is in a three way match at the PPV.

Sin Cara, Bryan, and Zeke vs. Dibiase, Rhodes, and Barrett in a rematch from Raw. Same result as Monday.

Jinder Mahal beats Vladimir Koslov.

Big Show comes out looking for Alberto but instead gets Mark Henry and Show wins with the punch and Henry on a stretcher.

Alicia Fox, Tamina, and Rosa Mendes beat Natalya, AJ Lee, and Katilyn.

Johnny Curtis interview.

Usos beat Gabrieal and Slater.

Del Rio comes out and Big Show chases him away. Big Show trashes the set.

Christain beats Sheamus then Orton chases Christain off. Orton returns to punt Sheamus.
