NED'S DEAD!!!

awhellnaw.jpg

:eek::eek::eek:

What a SHOCKING turn of events.:eek::eek:

Wow, this was 'a real night of Upsets'.

First I watched Dallas take the Big W, in Miami....
Afterwards, saw Ned take the BIG L, in King's Landing.

Never read the books, but I did NOT expect that at all. :smh:

Damn. That was crazy.
( and sooo disappointing at the same time :( )

I'm speechless.

ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE PISSED

:smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh:

 Yes, We Are Most Definitely Pissed

Im shocked that they went through with it because I read in one of the fan sites that a character that dies in book 3 will die this season...

The woman that play Dany just got out of acting school when she got hired to play her character...I was shocked because she does a great job portraying Dany....I agree she's sexy as hell every time I listen to her chapter I imagine during that situation..

But I hope killing Ned doesnt turn off alot of people though :smh:

I on the fence right now. Even if y'all say it happened in the book, I can't understand how it helps the show.

Im not sure why Ned's death would put off anyone from watching the show.

Admittedly I havent watched the show, but in the books Ned comes off as a complete retard, to me. He would always rather do the "honorable" thing rather then doing the right thing.

Glad to see that the show is well done though.

Ned's dead! He went out like a bitch too. at least they could have made him reject that cunt and her faggot son.:angry::angry:

The way he went out is more interesting though. To have him go out in the typical Hollywood blaze of glory that most heroes we see on screen do, with a witty line or some deep quote, would be cliche and not what this show or apparently the books are about.

I haven't read the books but from what its posted they, and now obviously this show, won't follow a typical Hollywood script which makes it more intriguing because there are no rules and unless you've read the books you won't know what happens.

This thread title needs to have (spoiler alert) in it.

No it doesn't, especially not after 14 pages.

If the purpose of the thread is to discuss the show then its obvious we are discussing the shows events in this thread, if someone hasn't seen or aren't up to date on all episodes why would they come into this thread:dunno:

:smh::smh::smh::smh:
1st the gimp was hilarious got knocked out before getting into battle and missed the whole shit.

ok now on to the real shit

ole girl loves throwing that dragon weight around i could watch an hour of her storyline by herself, and right now there isn't enough of her story for my liking. baby is coming husband dealing with blood magic shits getting real in the field.

Rob starting to really grow his nuts, got the man that fucked his brother up and a lot of leverage sacrificed those men for the greater good and didn't go for his little weak ass honor tactics. yea fight me one on one!....:hmm:nah i'll pass homie lock his ass up

That little broad is not a stark anymore in my eyes. at all, she fucking sold her soul to be a princess and served her dad up to get MURDERED in front of her eyes. what in the world made her think that he would have mercy on him? When he was play fighting with your sister he tried to wreck her shit and actually cut her up and kill her, and when he couldn't he lied about it and got YOUR wolf killed and you think that that's ok? When her wolf died, i think that she died as well in the stark house. This shit is on some unforgivable i hope my family doesn't find out type thing. she's gonna marry the man that killed her pops? forced or not, she needs to run away asap and go to her mom and brother(s). she was so short sided and now she sees that it wasn't worth it. fuck that weak ass fainting at the end.
just fuck her period at this point

im glad little one was making her way, she caught the pigeon snapped its neck and was looking for some bread to go along with her wings in the quickness  sad she had to see her daddy die, glad her daddy found a friend in the crowd who saved her. that little girl is what every man should want in a daughter. a scrapper, a fighter, an independent child who can fend for themselves and when shit hits the fan is ready to ride for the family. the little girl with her little weak skinny ass sword or shit can it even be called a sword? her long ass needle was moving through the crowd and about to go up that and POKE THE SHIT! out of the executioner (side note that was a BIG ASS SWORD they pulled out to kill ned with ) im glad her dads friend snatched her up but she was ready to go out fighting for her daddy, i respect it so much... fuck everything im running through the crowd and im gonna do SOMETHING.

Ned got fucked by his wife and daughter. it ended him. wife put him in the fucked situation to begin with. got him arrested. daughter got him murdered his sons couldn't do shit :smh:

that little king and his entire family need to burn. i don't care who does it as long as it happens. its gonna be an emotional episode next week. dad is dead and everyone is gonna find out. shits gonna be too real for me to watch it at once probably.

all the snakes are fine
all the eagles are dying.

i dont give a fuck though
that little girl was ABOUT IT she was about to do something anything to fight for her daddys life and thats all you can ask. at least next week she should be reunited with her other family (mom rob) but damn man that shit affected me some kind of way. cause i know deep down if i was in that situation i'd do the same thing..it'd be stupid but i wouldn't give a fuck i couldnt just let my daddy die like that

He was stuck on some, "This shit is unreal, can't be happe"..........................head rolls.

Totally agree about Robb, I've been impressed with him in the last few episodes, seeing how his character stepped up and its well acted.

As far as the Stark daughter I disagree. She's just playing her part. I think in the first few episodes I would have agreed but I can't in these episodes. The way she's handled this and begging for her fathers life were the only options she had, otherwise she'd be dead herself.

Also, Ned got fucked by his wife and daughter in the first half of the show, but that had nothing to do with the position he found himself in later.

If you remember he was arrested, released and had his position as the Kings hand reinstated.

He was arrested this time because he trusted the wrong people, played his cards and lost. As much as I liked the Ned character he has know one to blame but himself.

Go watch cartoons.

How can you say that when he died doing just that. He went against the honorable for the first time and instead did the "right" thing and ended up dead. There was a blatant message there. You missed it.

I wouldnt say he went out like a bitch but he definitely compromised himself for the first time in the series. I would have liked to had seen him go out on his own terms....-- Now that i think of it, he was perhaps a bit gullible to even believe that he would be allowed to live. He should have known not to trust any of those clowns at this point.

I don't think he did trust them. I think what he did was for his daughters. If you recall when he received that visit in his cell in the beginning of the episode and was asked to beg for his life he refused and said "I learned how to die long ago". At that point he was reminded of his daughters and the risk to them. I believe he humbled himself and made that confession for his daughters sake, not his own.

Also the fact that he told his friend in the crowd to watch his daughter leads me to believe he didn't really believe it would work and wanted her guarded just in case.

Actually, the exchange which convinced him to go along with the bullshit happened in this episode when he spoke to the fat guy. He knew his older daughter was still in place and not being threatened and he was also aware that his younger daughter was on the run. It wasnt about his daughters as much as being convinced that this would be the best way to bring forth peace. Even still he had to have (or should have) known that these individuals were not to be trusted. Thats why i say he appears more gullible the more i think about it. He definitely "trusted" them in the sense that he thought they would uphold their end if he confessed.

Thats what I was referring to. When he tried to advise Ned to make that confession of treason and say Joffrey is the king Ned said fuck that "I've learned how to die a long time ago".

It was until the fat guy brought up his daughters life and asked "what of your daughters life, is that a precious thing to you?" that Ned responded and I think thats what ultimately made him make the bullshit confession, not for himself but for his daughter (and more to the point his daughter who is to marry Joffrey because I don't think he knew the other one was around after hearing of her running away)

I'll watch it again tonight but i thought he didnt decide to confess until the fat guy mentioned peace and told him of his son's plans. I think he knew his daughter was safe (health wise). It wasnt my interpretation that he was swayed by that. Like i said, i'll check it again though. But either way, my point remains that he should have known not to trust any of those clowns.

Just got through watching last nite's episode......Right before Ned was heading for the stage he saw Arya on the statue and told Youren to get her.... Ned knew he was going to die and didnt want Arya to see it.

I dont like the actress who plays Shae,HBO could of found someone better if ask me.

I know the biggest story is Ned's death but its fucked up how Tywin fucked over Tyrion...That shit is fucked up...:smh::smh::smh::smh:

I wonder how they gonna top themselves for next season

Ned's dead! He went out like a bitch too. at least they could have made him reject that cunt and her faggot son.:angry::angry:

He was thinking about his daughters (and his son's too) Vary's put it in his head that if he did the honorable thing that it would cost him more than just his life.

They all just underestimated Joffrey's bloodlust.

Sorry, but it is you who didnt get it.

Ned did not "confess" to avoid a war, he confessed to save his daughters lives.

You are correct Sir. His last two acts of his own free will were to save the lives of his daughters.

btw, the power of film/TV really captured that last scene way better than the book did. Arya's aborted attempt to save her father, Joffery's eagerness for blood. Vary's, Circe's futile attempts at restraining Joffrey. And Ned realization and acceptance that death was unavoidable no matter what he did.

Im not sure why Ned's death would put off anyone from watching the show.

Yes, that was Ned's problem in the book and aptly portrayed in the show. He fucked up and got himself and whole lot of other people killed not being smart at all. He was warned repeatedly. How the fuck you going to tip your hand to a bitch that had your son thrown out a window. When he confronted Queen Cersei about the truth of her children, this bitch didn't flinch one bit. She didn't run. That should have told his ass then she was cooking up some shit. Damn shame.

You quoted the wrong post. The one you quoted was actually accurate. In that the confession went against his normal honorable actions and did what he thought was right for his childs well being.

The post between Outlaw and myself is where i made a wrong statement. As i told him, ill watch it again tonight though.

i feel the daughter should have stopped fucking with the lannister clan once the boy got her wolf killed period.
being a princess was more important than being a stark, so sure she might have had a change of heart, BUT it was too late, she was in too deep for me to have sympathy for her. the littlest one was fine and had no opinions on the starks, soon as the incident happened she stopped fucking with them period...

he was arrested and an enemy of the lannisters because his wife kidnapped the gimp...and lost him.
he trusted little finger because his wife begged him to not kill him on sight and to trust him as a friend of the family.. :smh:

ned's dead because of them and because of himself trusting family and listening when his instincts told him otherwise.
then discarding his honor confessing to shit that wasn't true to save his ass and got killed.

all its gonna do is make mr snow leave his post and come through and kill shit with the wolf blade

ned had to go at this point though, everybody mad but its real in the field.
too many fuck ups
too much misguided views
he playing fair while everyone is playing foul
i wasn't surprised he died at all.
that scene to me was all about the youngest and her heart. bout to move through the crowd and kill some motherfuckers over pops..

i think rob has shed his timidness at this point. i think he has his fathers values and he has his fathers code of honor. he damn sure thinks things through like his dad but i think he just doesn't trust ANYONE but starks which will save him. he only applies that shit to his family ned applied it to everyone assuming everybody was a man and the same.

rob's gonna come through

This is why I will not read or listen to the books - I love having a shocking scene each week of the show - so rare on television - That would be like James Gandolfini being killed off on the Sopranos during the first season even though he was the star and the face of the show -

Great Job HBO - I will be with you for every episode (or as long as BGOL is uploading becuz in 2011 I ain't paying for shit)

sansa is about the most annoying bitch in this book behind vierys, her fathers death is mostly her fault.
