Houston wants nothing to do with proposed sex doll brothel
A stop-work order has been issued against KinkySdolls, which was in the process of building a shop on Richmond Avenue without a permit, Fox 10 Phoenix reported Thursday.

The move comes after someone from the Toronto-based company visited the Houston Permitting Center to apply for an occupancy inspection, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner’s office said in a statement to the network.

“Inspectors from the Building Code Enforcement team visited the site and noticed work had been done without a permit. A red tag (stop work order) was issued,” it said. “The business will need to apply for a demolition permit and submit plans prior to continuing work.”

KinkySdolls bills itself as the “first adult love dolls rent-before-you-buy service” in North America. Its first location opened last year in Toronto.

Turner said he wasn’t looking to be the “moral police” but had a duty to his constituents.

“We do need to be very mindful of what comes into our city and what our children and others may be exposed to. So I want to be very sensitive to that,” he said Wednesday.
