He's a poet...well known poet...active in the Black Arts movement of the 60's...currently taught at a few universities...he's done alot in major black cities... especially my hometown of Detroit over the last few years...look up "51st State"

At 5:47 AM on Wednesday, July 18, 2007, my beloved Sekou Sundiata passed away

Be thankful that we knew him. He blessed us with his voice, his words told our stories, and his energy lit a room the moment he stepped into it. Be grateful. Celebrate his life and expect that we will see him again, one day.

Well there was Jimmy Hendricks died too young, Billy Holiday Died too young, Miles Davis lived a full life, Ella, Dizzy...and now this Brother R.I.P.
