Demi Moore to play feminist icon Gloria Steinem in porno biopic ‘Lovelace’

Demi Moore has been empowered to play a feminist icon.
The soon-to-be former Mrs. Ashton Kutcher will star as Gloria Steinem in the biopic about porn star Linda Lovelace, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
“Lovelace,” which stars Amanda Seyfried in the title role, tells the story of the actress behind "Deep Throat," the 1972 X-rated film that birthed the modern adult film industry and ignited a nationwide anti-obscenity campaign.
Moore will be joining a cast that includes Peter Sarsgaard as the late Lovelace’s first husband, Chuck Traynor, as well as Chris Noth, Hank Azaria and Sharon Stone. Adam Brody and Eric Roberts also just signed on, with the former playing Lovelace’s “Deep Throat” co-star Harry Reems.
Though his casting hasn’t officially been announced, James Franco is reportedly set for a cameo as Playboy founder Hugh Hefner.
Seyfried is replacing Lindsay Lohan, who was briefly attached to the film in 2010 before her legal troubles got in the way.
