I heard recently that he was not in good health, and him passing away today is a sad day. He is arguably the greatest player in NFL history and he quit playing at an age where he still had a lot in tank because Cleveland Brown owner Art Modell try to muscle him into continuing to play when he was filming The Dirty Dozen during the off-season

This is at a time when NFL players didn't make a whole lot of money.

RIP

RIP to the greatest football and lacrosse player who ever lived.
Name another athlete who is recognized as the goat of two separate sports.
Unreal.
Not to mention that he was a civil rights giant.
We lost a great one!
Time well served, Jim.

There is an amazing story I heard about Jim Brown and Muhammad Ali that I'm trying to find to share with you guys accurately.

The succinct version is Jim Brown said he could have whoop Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Ali said in so many words "you full of shit." Jim Brown got in the ring with Muhammad Ali threw like 10 punches and didn't land a single one.

On the flip side, Muhammad Ali through 10 punches and everyone including probably an extra one hit Jim Brown and that's when Jim Brown knew that Muhammad Ali was not a man to be flexed with.

He was before my time, but my father loved this dude, so he was like hero in our home. I remember his interview discussing how he would intimidate his opponents by getting up slow, after every play, so they they would not know if he was hurt or tired and I adopted that strategy into just about everything I've done... It's sad personally to know he's gone, but it was a privilege to know of this man and the strong image he gave young black men to aspire to be.

Rest in Power Mr. Brown
