Bborn and everyone else, much thanks on the insight. I'll be staying in Atlantis but will be sure to venture out for some of the lesser priced meals. I'll have to eat at one of those expensive ass restaurants for one night, which do yall recommend? I'm interested in the food quality and view. Will be at a conference with shorty. God I hope those fine women don't tempt me!! :D

We did MESA GRILL, and even met Bobby Flay.

The food was great there.

It was the only restaurant we did on the resort.

Even with the cab fare, nothing beats the fish fry. Try Goldies, Twin Bros, OAndreas ...all good shit.

And eat a ton of conch salad :D

Yea Nassau doesn't have the best beaches, you'd have to go to some of our outer islands to really see something you'd be impressed with, take the wifey to exuma, or Long island next time u come down.

The beach in front of the Reef at Atlantis is one of the ten best beaches in the world (aka Cabbage Patch Beach). Prior to the condos being built, it was also one of the best places to watch titties since Club Med used to be there too.

Just got back from Atlantis and it was nothing but relaxation and spending of course. I did my exercise by walking or light jog across the bridge each morning. Had conch for the first time, damn near included in everything you eat. Ate at Twin bros, and had a few Kalik golds in the fish fry section further down. Walked all the west bay strip til I got to fish fry. Tight bc my shorty didn't want to hit up Rum festival on Sunday but in hindsight it was probably better - my wandering eye. I also didn't make it to any of the nearby islands; next time. Ate at Mesa grill, Olives, & Bahamian Club. Bahamian club impressed me most with food quality and quantity. Olives - waste of time & money. Mesa - good food, pricey. But what isn't in Atlantis. I'll be visiting again, maybe in 2016. I have to make a few of those outer islands, HAVE TO.

 Was just telling the homegirl about the inclusive drink & food & she got quiet, all excited & shit, thinking about checking it out.

told her I seen people wheeled away from the pool who couldnt make it on their own, either into the lobby or up to their rooms so they can reset & get it back poppin again if that's what you want to do.
same with the food plus they now have room service even though you can take as many hot plates up to your room that you can carry for any/all meals

grilled/lightly fried/sauteed grouper, conch fries/salad, what have you, out to the beach or to the terrace.

I only took the stairs with the food on principle, walked the beach, swam out to the ropes & still got the core blowout every other day just in attempt to fight off the liq & fooding to death trying to engulf you.
Fuck that!

Sauna & hot tub was peace too.

Chicks were there giving massages in the spa if that's your thing too as I saw this cac od-ing on that.

Went to Bahamas last month for the first time with the wife.
Stayed at Melia. I liked it cause our room was first floor, right on the beach. (somehow got upgraded to that room. * it pays to email GM of hotel prior to arriving letting him know you look forward to staying at his hotel)
Fish Fry food is great. Ate there 3 times. O Aundros is the best from what i experienced. Ate at twin bros. as well, but O Aundros was seasoned better, better service, fresher, and larger portions.
Twin Brothers has this waitress with the fattest ass i have ever seen in person. It's laughable. took pictures of it.

Like others have stated, very filling makes you feel like you need to workout. Next morning ran about 1.5 miles on the beach.

Went snorkeling for first time.
Very cool, but a little intimidating at first being in the ocean with all those damn fish swimming around you.
Cab driver let me drive back to hotel from Poop Deck resteraunt. (rest. too expensive and not great).

Overall, a great time. Drinks are expensive if not all inclusive (we were not). Therefore, we just went to liquor store near our hotel and bought a bottle of Belvidere. I would definately suggest doing that. Our room was on the beach so going back and making a new drink was easy. however, if it wasnt i would just get a large water bottle and fill with drink and have mixer.

People are all very nice.

Next time we plan to visit Atlantis and that pool area.

Plan your day properly and try to hit everything at once cause cab rides are about $15 each time. That adds up quick.

Doing a cruise to Nassau in July - seems like people are mostly talking about eating. However, what are some good excursions/sightseeing activities?

The sauna conked out and there's not as much of that glorious wind blowing off the beach as I'd like even though the white caps off the ocean are in effect but its still gorgeous. Once u get passed the sand in the froth of the white caps, you're good $.

Was in the water the other day while it was raining lightly for abt an hr or so & that shit was incredible!
Some Portuguese chick & her Moms were in that bitch even further out having a ball.
Cacs talkin that 'cold' shit :smh: FOH
Cut the ac off & keep the door open...:)

They're also building a super giant casino financed & owned by the Chinese off ParadiseIs even bigger than Atlantis but I ain't here for all that gambling Babylonian shit.

Baha Mar still not running as they've got issues with the contractor and local government issues. I've been out here since last Tuesday and leaving in a few days, but it's been red flag days, so beach swimming has been limited. Been using that Atlantis gym and ball courts, which have me working off the food tour, Bahamian club, chopstix (not impressed), seafire steakhouse, and about to head to Mossaic buffet tonight. The Pompey museum is enlightening, yet saddening, and builds the anger - yet added further insight to the tri-Atlantic slave trade and the British (islands) POV regarding slavery. I'm trying to head to cable beach tomorrow by taking that #10 bus after the ferry ride over to Nassau. Oh and Señor frogs had some cacs twerking for free margaritas and the Graycliff area is a good look. May go back for their happy hour beers, pizza, and pool for the low $$.
