Nice place I have been there three times. The food at the resort is expensive but that is pretty much the way it is on paradise island. I would recommend going. You can stay there or the comfort suites directly next door and have full access to Atlantis. You get free breakfast there

See if you can tip one of the guys working at the cove to let you in, dopest part of hotel but also crazy expensive. We've been able to get away with a bill at the gate and breaking off all the servers

The Cain Pool at the Cove has the phattest servers in the world. Local women selected for the jiggliness of ass & tits. It's hard to pay attention to anything else.

It was a fun trip overall

Some pointers:

1. No need to stay on the Atlantis property. You can stay in the Comfort Suites where you get free breakfast, free wi-fi, and you still get access to the Atlantis beaches and water rides and shit. On the Atlantis properties, there was no free breakfast or wifi.

2. Food - Expensive as shit, even breakfast stuff like Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts cost a grip. Pack your own snacks. It will be a life saver.

You are better off going to the Fish Fry (15 minute cab ride) as you get WAY more for your money. O'Andreas was a nice spot and best bang for your $$$, another one called Twin Brothers was okay, but slightly more expensive, and Goldie's was the best of both worlds. Trust me, take a cab and got to the Fish Fry. We did this almost every night we were there.

3. If possible when heading down, get a cab prior. This lady called Cheryl (http://www.cherylbahamastaxiandtours.com/) was the bomb diggity  She picks you up from the airport in a nice bus, gives you beer in the bus, and literally gives you a tour of the island. And you can call her at any time.

4. Enjoy the beaches, and pools as much as possible, go sight seeing and all that other shit

Other than that, just live it up, have fun, drink some Bahama Mama's or Papa's, Kalik or SANDS and fucking have a blast.

I did :D

FYI, some new resort is getting built down there that opens in December 2014. It will be a game changer and most likely make Bahamas even cheaper due to more competition. www.bahamar.com

Why not try the Riu next door for a more personable & homey feel without the lighs, cameras, action & Babylon feel (as the Riu staff calls it ) of
TimeSq X LasVegas X a SuperMall where u have to pay for everything damn near?:hmm:

Everytime u go back to the Riu they literally remember you & treat you like family. I seriously doubt you can get that type of hospitality & feel off of the WaltDisneyWorld casino shit over there but its interesting to walk around especially that sick mariana with the yachts coming through.

If you really want to do it, get the overlooking beach suite.
Have posted flicks b4 here.

All inclusive as they will outfood (top quality & constantly cooked fresh between the sports bar, cafeterias, dining room & specialty restaurants) & out liquor you with open bars everywhere.

Have literaly seen folk happily wheeled to their room for overdoing it, where they can recover & get it popping where they left off.

If you want to take it even further, link up with different folk who can put u on to over 700 of the diff islands down there.

That beachside bar had a world famous bartender who was breaking down how he was about to rent a plane & fly to this island where the water changes color like 6 times just like a tropical drink;

this other islander was breaking down how he rents boats to go on some other island way out where he spearfishes & shit.

Beautiful vibe & great people but the Riu seems to provide more comfort than those staying in huge assed Atlantis & those caught up on that cruise grind where u have to move @ someone else's pace or get left @ port.

That Aquarium is SICK over there & its so legendary, there are a few vids on UToob about it but that also can be accessed Without having to stay @ the Atlantis.

Good to know bborn. Might check out the RIU next time.

We had a wedding vow renewal thing and was one of the reasons for doing Atlantis, but I know when next I go, fuck the Atlantis

Either way, we had fun, kids loved the water parks and all that other shit

Now u just said the most important & deciding factor which I forgot to mention.

The Babies.

The ONLY great thing that the Riu doesnt have is stuff for them to do - its irritating for them & to see them running around a hotel with only a spors bar & an outside pool plus unlimmited food (pizzas, hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, sodas, chips & shit) for them as their only activity. No wifi either. The clubs & arcades are over @ the Atlantis.

U could aways stay @ the Riu for a lil cheap then buy yourself a pass/armband (either on the beach though the jetski boys connects wiith their bredren who work @ hthe Cove or directly from them).

In about 5-7 yrs going, have seen a few weddins directly on the beach a few yards away from the Riu's steps.

Its not Sandals but a more adult atmosphere with a lot of folk from all over the world, plus a few kids. So if just u & the wife (& maybe if the kids dont need a lot of supervision), this is something to think about. The Atlantis is something big enough that they can get lost in for a few hours as its huge.
{Now if y'all are balling & ready to drop a few stacks on designer names, labels, jewels & the like, knock yaself out as ALL the BIG Names have major stores within their hallways leading to the casino}.

There are also movie theatres there but u have to pay for em & everything else there whichis a :hmm::angry::smh:.

Have never been to the water parks but to me, as a 'fish', who the fuck needs clorine with the beautiful, clear assed water over there? You could literally see the fish coming to swim by your feet if you wear goggles. The shit is amazing.

Made the mistake of falling in that pool @ the Riu for just a few seconds & my eyes were more red then any scama I ever smoked on the beach:smh::angry: NEVER again but they must feel tht they need that for all the kids jumping in & them drunk folk getting sippy @ the poolside bar, u do the math.

The Riu is a worldwide chain too with joints in Jamaica, CostaRica & all over the world;

I fucks with them & know a bunch of them on a first name basis from the beach to the kitchen to the front desk. A few took me off the island & to their hoods too. Nothing but love for my Bahamian & Geechie shottas fam as theyre the 'same folk'.

Also, you could literally take a chair out on the beach & sleep there all night @ the Riu without any hassles. I dont see that happening with all that going on down the beach @ the Atlantis.

Bless

Yea Atlantis is crazy expensive, you must have that long money to stay in the cove that long, 5 star experience though. As pointed out by others, you can def stay by Comfort suites and get most of the advantages of the Atlantis hotel.
And yes food wise, if your on a budget stay away from eating on Paradise Island on the whole. There are a couple spots over there with reasonable prices, but hard to find, Violas is one.

But yea just PM me if anyone if anyone has any trips lined up to coming over here and ill give you a few inside tips.

Always want to know Bahamians' opinion & experiences staying @ the RIU.
Ever stayed, ate the food there or even know anyone who works there?
One pays NUFF $ to get there so FUCK paying for food unless u want to go to the FishFry or something in particular.

Went there on a cruise last week and it was $45 dollar per adult for the Aquarium. I'm thinking, "It was gonna be a big dope experience". But it wasn't a big enough aquarium for my liking, especially for $45 a person.

The RIU sounds like the move...I've been there twice...partied and been on MTV out there in the ATLANTIS spot...met a few women hotel hopping...got topped off by a bad little joint in a closed resteraunt somewhere near the ATLANTIS...dope island overall...so is Port Lucaya...they had the best food I ever had in my life...a small mom and pop spot near the central bodega with all the vendors....

Cruises STAY on that rape shit I see:angry::smh:.
That's like charging for water.

From the RIU, wandering over through Atlantis, @ night or whenever,
the shit's FREE

Was just playing a vid from that on some big screens the other night.
Not this one but another one

How big are you talking because it takes like 10-20 mins to even walk through all of them coves that that aquarium navigates around unless you're in a hurry.

Doin it!

Aint nothing fucking with Mom&Pops shops anywhere but they damn sure bring the best of that type of feel & flavor to you as far as a resort goes, food wise. For a constant flow of 24 hr food including room service now, theirs is incredible.

The steps & a steady workout regime MUST be stuck to, fuck skipping a day or 5 or they'll have u & 'food' your ass to death:lol: word life

You definitely run into a bigger flow of folk @ the Atlantis along with them empty spaces:lol: but FUCK staying there if u dont have to. If u want the lights, excitement, gambling, spending & all that, its right there for u though...

The ONLY downfall of the RIU is that there is no wifi (yet) as u see a shitload of folk fishing for signals in the lobby or going over to the Atlantis & even paying for some hourly data to get on.

Now if u dont mind that along & really want to get away from reality for a second but have all u could eat/drink spots while u chill in a more quiet spot (outside, on the beach, the terraces, poolside, what have u...), this is that spot.

Come to think of it, that Comfort Inn is definitely not on the water (barely in sight of the beach) & the Atlantis isnt either(that red wall pulled back off of the beach) while the Riu has a pool extended closer than both then steps that go right down to the beach, where u could chill down @ until the Sun comes up.

I have a few panoramic shots & vids of the beach from the Riu side & u cant even see the Atlantis nor anything else, just beach like Paradise is supposed to look like which are probably nothing next to those hundreds of beautiful & remote islands down there (one bartending kat was telling me that he was about to go to this island where the beach hue or water changes colors 5-6 times a day )
Here's one from the jetty next to the inlet behind Atlantis where u can see the beach & the Riu

Did you eat by Oh Andross, they give you a ton of food for a good price. Where you staying down here, hows it been so far?

We stop in Twin Bros...It was pretty good. Too much dam food! LOL. From my understanding the Bar Mar is like 5 months ahead of their scheduled opening. We went by Skan for lunch today and it was pretty good as well. I need to go running ASAP!
