Any suggestions to a Christmas caribbean vacation under $3k?

Thinking of taking the wife on a Christmas vacation somewhere where the weather is nice but have a budget of $3k for flight from philly and resort for 3-5 days.

Thats going to be real rough as both the airlines and the resorts super jack up their prices from dec 15 to jan 2. I bet if you went to check plane fares right now you already looking at a g per round trip ticket and will only get worse. Anywhere affordable to stay already booked from last year.

Do you have any place in mind? 3k is a lot to play w/ esp. for a 3-5 day trip (airfare included)...depends on where you wanna go tho and the dates you choose help too

Oh my bad you traveling w/ wifey...anyway let's say you wanna go to Barbados...one ticket from Philly from 12/24-12/28 is $730...2 tix is $1460 which leaves you w/ a lil over $1500 for hotel...food...etc...that's kinda tight
