My baby's name is on there
I see some of us are aware that's it not necessarily the name white people hate, they just hate us and everything about us. And now that we know that anything we do will be met with the strongest of condemnation, we can begin to not give a fuck about cacs and their silly ideas.
Black females gave those names a bad reputation, not the other way around.
I love us. I truly do, but we all ain't conscious enough to understand name meaning. I get the article and I do agree with Jay-Vill that we should not care what CACs think, but there is some truth to characteristics and name association.

I always thought Mookie was a nickname. I knew a dude we called Mookie growing up but his real name was Stephen.I know Mexicans use a lot of slang terms to describe different things.
But the first thing I though about when I seen that name was Dragon Ball Z. lol Goku's wife.
Funny it seems when I look at a lot of African names I always see some similar sounding Chinese or Japanese name.

yeah there was a thread similar and i posted all those fucked up names that crakkas made up....
This is my concern. Some people that are naming children aren't looking into the history of the name. I just want people to stop the thinking that naming your kid something unique is going to make them special, and the parent doesn't do anything to nurture the child's interests like music, art, science. Talents and interests make you special, not some name of West African origin.
