Yep Covid did have one silver lining….people finally woke up to what’s really going on with corporate America.

When my job didn’t hire me back after furloughing me, I realized what I was to them despite everything I done for them. None of it mattered.

This is some real shit. They cut people when people needed them the most. And now that they need people back these companies wanna guilt workers. FOH.
Yep, and these companies think people are stupid enough to settle for a job for the sake of having one, when they ain’t even paying a livable wage. We all know they were getting tax breaks AND bail out money from the pandemic relief packages. That money been ran out, and now they need folks back. Fuck them.

I am one of the few people who love their job and getting paid pretty good, but I know in the future I may have to make a choice because of everything is changing rapidly. Because I am in a comfortable place right now doesn’t mean I don’t see what’s going on outside of my bubble. American corporations are going to have to face the music very very soon. They are having a rough time controlling generation Z and is not going to get any better for them nor the GOP.
Yep and like I said, previously these corporations, having a tough time, controlling the younger generation. The younger generation sees through the bullshit and they are willing to just sit on the ass and not do anything to kill corporate America.
You cannot be blamed. That scumbag (or more precisely: his handlers) stripped so many protections in order for the uber-rich donors to get richer it's hard to keep up.
Somewhere in the Covid thread is a post about a black woman who worked at Giants Supermarket as a cashier dying from Covid and receiving a $15 check.
When I first moved to this country, I remember reading a story about a Los Angeles bus driver dying from AIDS and his family fighting the union for something. I remember being angry and vowing a bunch of things.
I remember that story. Some people were giving her praise.
