The weather sucks during hurricane season, but if it’s not hurricane season, and the weather is actually pretty decent. Although the last few years Florida had a ton of tornadoes. And don’t forget the elephant in the room climate change with the sea levels rising.

Yeah, weather is great (outside of Hurricane season) but the over expansion on new builds is making the state overcrowded. More people are moving to FL but folks are also leaving.
Too much development is going to destroy what made Florida a great place to move too. Especially with how development negatively effects flooding after normal storms.

Yep years ago I told people Florida has a southern Louisiana problem. Some areas of the state should have remained undeveloped for flooring purposes, but they didn’t listen and here we are Hurricane Ian really exposed a lot of issues in that state Fort Myers to this day is still fucked up
Bro, I lived just north of Orlando in Volusia County and Ian hit us in late September, just before we moved back to NYS in October that year. Areas that never flooded were still under water when we left in late October. I would check in on city meetings and follow the story after leaving and people were still dealing with flooded properties that were still under water in December that year.
All the trees they cut, wooded areas cleared and overdevelopment is really fucking it up for those that stayed. Glad we cashed out when we did, only regret is not cashing out sooner (April/May) instead...
