Yanny or Laurel: Which Do You Hear? You’re Right

I definitely hear Yanny. But if I listen closer I can hear the "rel" of Laurel. Yanny seems to have a higher pitch while Laurel is a lower pitch. I still do not hear the "L" in Laurel. I only hear the "Y".

In headphones it’s “Laurel” when you listen through the phone’s speaker it’s “Yanny”

Yanny

Edit, I think it changes. I heard “Yanny” first. Clicked on the NYTimes link scrolling through the article.

Watched a vid where they adjusted the sound and I heard “Laurel”.

Came back here to listen to the original audio now all I hear is “Laurel”.

It depends on your age. Older people will head Laurel. I dropped all the freq's bellow 3K and jacked up the high end and heard laurel. It's the same thing with the teenager tone that drives them crazy but people over 30 or so can't hear.

Yanny the 1st time but Laurel everytime after that.

Edit: I have know idea how anyone hears Yanny. But this is BGOL home of the contrarians.

The fascinating part of it is the human aspect of it.
Different people hear at different frequencies and even more fascinating that the human brain can play a factor in what you are hearing as well.

If you listen to it a couple of times you can here two voices. One high pitched one lower pitched voice speaking at the same time. You hear what your accustomed to hearing.

Well...to add to that is the Conspiracy Theory.

It’s going around that this is a test by the US Govt or some Dark Agency based somewhere.

The Conspiracy Theory is If folks can hear different things from one message, subliminal orders can be sent out to get people to do certain tasks or put them in certain situations.

This is being rumored as a test for Mind Comtrol.

Sending messages thru certain forms of media like TV, radio, or the internet.

They were playing it on CNN this morning and all i heard was Yanny while the talking heads kept saying Laurel. Heard it on car radio an hour later and the first 5 times it was Yanny again but then went to distinctly Laurel.

Ahh I get it now.

Like someone was saying earlier. Both is being said.

Yanny is high frequency and Laurel a low frequency.

I hear Yanny, but I have to listen closely to hear Laurel. I close my ears to eliminate the high frequency and Laurel was clear as day.

This is no different than making a beat and putting in a baseline. You can hear it well through head phones but will disappear if you play it through a standard laptop that doesn’t do lows very well.

This is how people can be manipulated through music because on how their brains picks up on frequency. Sun Ra spoke big about this in a few documentaries I saw about frequencies and vibrations.
