was listening to "Firecracker" over the T-giving holiday with my Aunts and Momz, did you know that it was sampled in the EPIC song that changed my Generation...... Me So Horny, 2 Live Crew.
Yeah I knew they sampled it. A lot of people don't. I got laughed at for that peanut butter song last night...lol... hurt my lil feelings. We used to jam to that. All folx know about peanut butter these days is that lil peanut butter jelly time stewie mess. I was told we'd listen to anything with a good beat and then got shown this:
And I had to laugh because Earth Wind and Fire and Parliment used to wear crazy stuff and dress just like that...lol...

So Camille's era was the late 1970s to the early 80s. Just after the so called Disco era was coming to it's end (actually the it didn't, but the musical meme changed) to the beginning of when "Rap" was becoming known outside of the NYC area.
