Would You Date A Blue Collar Brother?

All of those broads were old and barely hitting 7 on a 10 point scale. Black women can feel whatever way they want about blue color dudes, but the asian/hispanic/white/mulatto delegation is no more than a phone call away.

And are probably bringing some real pleasant attitudes to the table too.

 ^^^^^^I highly doubt that a person who refers to people as "mulattos" has access to black women, talk less of women of all colors. All of those women in the videos seem very pleasant so why did you even have to say that. Why don't you do black women a favor and just go to the Moooo-lottt-toes. Sounding like Uncle Ruckus

 "Seven on a 10 point scale", Blue "color" dudes :smh:

Damn homie, chill with all the Uncle Ruckus talk, I was trying to make a point that you're straying from. Those women seemed okay, but let's be real, they weren't really that fly to begin with. And believe me, I have plenty of access to Black women, from my mom, to siblings, to friends, to the females I holler at.

And since we're asking for favors, could you kindly hop off of deeez nuts?

^^^I don't mess with little marble-sized nuts^^^
Sorry, but your shitty point has nothing to do with this topic. What does their appearance have to do with anything? They gave their opinion and you proceeded to try and dog them FOR NO REASON. You just looking for another way to put down black women and you should be ashamed of yourself because those women were cute and spoke clearly and said that they WOULD date a blue "COLLAR" man. So why you come in here talking out your neck?

Meaning he respects higher learning, he doesn't believe that brawn is better than brains and can still be refined and worldly.

:smh: Wow @ that response. Another reaffirmation of the fact that we live in a materialistic CACocentric society with CACologically, CACoethic derived benchmarks of 'success'.

Brawn and 'brains' have both contributed (and continue to, in tandem) to the development societies. Neither trumps the other. And if you really wana go there, anthropologically, brawn begat brians. And don't even come with the pseudo-logical positivist counter-argument because it's gay.
(no-Robeson)

Remember kids, it's some 'highly learned' educated, refined, worldly, IGNANT, muhfuckas.

I didn't say higher education. I said higher learning. You don't have to be a college graduate to appreciate the interest in learning more about anything and everything. I have that desire and I like men who have that desire.

shoot...theres thousands of women out there who let jobless niggas lay up in thier house...hes not wearing any color...let alone a colored one:lol:

men dont buy it

personally i feel the whole independent woman thing is a defense mechinism(sp) alot of women use to hide how they really feel...we are social creatures...everybody wants to be loved...so dont buy that "i dont need..." bullshit

and similar concept with this...

women say they dont want a truck driver or repair man...but theyll take him

personally i dont care...my main requirement is that he has goals and strives for more...wherever he is professionally

Sean I do believe this might be one the best answers in this thread....:lol::lol: well after MTL's of course :hmm:

MTL say it again so the people in the back can hear yuh sis....all these titles. I mean what ever happened to just feeling a vibe with someone, and allowing that vibe to take you and that someone where its meant to go.

The problem is that if you don't have the appropriate amount of money that vibe will never get you anywhere. It's like trying to drive a car with no gas.

Most of the women who say this are had blue collar boyfriends who paid their way through school. Boyfriends they later dumped or cheated on because they "didn't share the same interest in learning".

What was her name, brother? I'll send my "cousins and nem" to give her an attitude adjustment......j/k!!!

...I was taught that if she leaves you for another she was never yours to begin with, and you are better off because she did...

Can't remember her name. I met her at a bar about a years ago. Had a few of my friends go out like that too.

You might be better off because she left, except that you're still assed out on her bills, tuition, and anything else she decides to take on the way out.

I did pay a good chunk of my ex-wife's student loan back when, but she had already finished school before we were married. The woman I met at the bar had been in a relationship for 3 years with a house painter. She had just completed her MOA which takes about a year. She complained to me that since getting her certificate she had trouble relating to her man. I smashed despite being a high school dropout. I can't figure out who was the most despicable of the two, her or me.

Some of my boys did fall for that bullshit though. In some cases stay at home moms will enroll in school just before breaking up so that they can get a bigger monthly paycheck from their ex.

I've dated all kinds of men. I don't care about your job. I care about your motives, more ambitions, your ability to interact with people, your interest in current events, what you know and what you want to know, etc.

But no matter what you do, if you pick up shit in bathrooms I want to know that you understand that is a temporary station in your life. If you sit in shit all day, you still get up, clean yourself off, go to an opera, see an art exhibit, enjoy a fine dinner, know how to hold a fork, and not once have your elbows on the table.

Femme. Here is my goal right now. I want to have money coming in or money there to last me for my lifetime then go to work come home and sit down in front of the TV in my lazy boy or go around back, plant a garden if I feel like, tend to my garden or go for a walk. That's pretty much the routine and every now on then I go visit the family on a non holiday period of time. I want to go hiking in the same mountains I used to in college and couple years after I graduated with my old buddies like we had planned to do after we graduated.

As far as higher learning goes. I believe everyone tries to learn something whether it be reading the paper, watching tv or just observing. I don't want to feel pressured to show that I am ambitious to keep my relationship going. I don't want to feel that if I don't show that I am striving that my relationship is going to be over. I don't want to feel that my desiring simplicity in my life might be a bad thing for my relationship.

The older I get and this year in particular I am learning a lot of things about women that really makes me question whether I want to live with a mate ever again or just keep a friend and move on when she is no longer satisfied with me. The key one is that they are just too damn hard to please and I may never please the one I have.

So basically, if you have a blue collar job or "blue collar mentality", like say, a truck driver, FedEx delivery man, auto mechanic, construction worker, cook, etc.

In other words, a job with 'lower' academic or intellectual skill requirement than, a college graduate or post-graduate level job, this means you have no desire, respect or interest what so ever "... in learning more about anything and everything."

Is that it?

see i don't necessarily associate a blue collar job with low academic or intellectual requirements....cuz some white collar drone type jobs require very little and some blue collar jobs require a lot.

what i was getting from femm was she wasn't talkin about having to go to school

everything else....i'll let femm explain

look at all that shit you need?

are your panties enshrined with white gold or any other kinda precious medal?.

I put my elbows on the table LOL! I never knew what the big deal was. Same with guys putting down the toilet seat (as long as what's underneath is clean). But I definitely agree that I was not able to deal with a blue collar brother who wasn't supportive of my aspirations. Like, O.K. you chose not to go to school and you're doing well for yourself, but don't be jealous or put down my pathway. Also be able to talk about something other than trivial things. Have an opinion on things that are important. I could never be with someone who only talks about trivial things: his job, sports, other people's business. Like what else motivates you in life? What other goals do you have other than going through the motions of your 9-to-5? Basically I think we all want someone who is successful in his career, but just because his career didn't require years & years of school it doesn't mean that he is not intelligent.

@danny: You should have supported your WIFE during her schooling. SHE WAS YOUR WIFE. I'm sorry she broke up with you, but I bet you loved her enough to get married. Who's to say that if you had not supported her she still wouldn't have left you? You should stop judging women against her cuz it's not fair to us or to you.

LOL @ this thread...

Only 9% of ALL Americans have Six-Figure Incomes. Only 2% are Millionaires.

I'm pretty sure both percentages are even significantly less When you reduce "Americans" to Black American Men, and more specifically to Black American Men under the age of 30.

Bottom line is, most black women date "Blue collar" brothers simply because it's the norm. To date Six Figure Men/Millionaire's women themselves have to be above average, and most women aren't.

With as much ass that gets thrown at them on a daily basis, do you really think this men are willing to settle for anything BUT the best? And not to mention, the work ethic, ambition and drive that achieved their financial success in the first place.
