A lot of moms are like that. Very weird. They get very possessible with their sons to the point of poignantly striking out at them for having romantic relationships in any kind of way. They either hate the girl or they make the a young man jump through all kinds of hoops just to have a positive relationship.
It's very weird and creepy. Instead of teaching the son how to love a woman and encourage them, you get these weird moms who feel like if their son is in a relationship, it's a form of betrayal to the mom.
I hope his dad takes him in and helps him feel confident about being a young man and learning how to love. Or at least have fun while he's young.
