Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines! (Well, almost.) A new entertainment complex is under construction along Route 1 South in Edison, NJ, next to Topgolf. It is set to open this fall. And they make the bold claim that it will include the largest indoor go-kart track in the world.

Supercharged Entertainment already operates a similar 80,000 square foot facility in Wrentham, Massachusetts. On social media, the company touts their new multi-level NJ go-kart track will be "28% bigger" with 10 elevation changes and enough room for 4-wide racing.

We can glean some insight into how the New Jersey go-karts may operate, based on the Supercharged New England web site:
—A single race costs $26.99, with discounts available for multiple ride bundles.
—Minimum height to drive is 58 inches (4 foot, 10 inches).
—Safety video viewing (available online), helmet (available to borrow), and headsock (available to purchase) are required.
—Supercharged leagues are available for all skill levels, featuring three races per week over six weeks.

In addition to the race track, Supercharged Edison promises to feature "luxury axe throwing" and "bionic bumper cars". A two-story Drop & Twist Tower will offer additional thrills. An arcade is planned with over 140 games, prize redemption, and virtual reality. A Burgers & Brews restaurant will be part of the complex too.

This sounds like an awesome new Central Jersey hot spot for family fun for all ages. I can't wait to try it out. An exact Grand Opening date has not been announced yet.

Grand opening, Grand closing.
Them young new niggaz will find a way to fuck up a good thing.
Those Edison cops won't be having that shit.... rest assured..... and throw in th NJ State Troopers as a side dish
sidebar: How much you wanna bet that any security job there will be a side gig for Edison cops.... not sure if State Troopers are allowed side gigs :dunno:

:itsawrap:

I'm gonna ask a dumb question but I've never seen an elevated platform with such turns on a go-kart.

No one concerned about "non-drivers" and one of them things going airborne?

Some people just can't drive...

Jersey state troopers are the worst in the world. They will give their own mama a speeding ticket. The one state I'm always shook on the turnpike...

No doubt they got signs everywhere when you pay that you're responsible for your actions or some kind of waiver.... second vid I had posted from another indoor track was supposed to have one going airborne.... watched that 8 min race twice and didn't see shit :dunno: :hmm:

.

@Mixd @tallblacknyc looking at these, no doubt that they got waivers as well as other protection measures for the drivers
sidebar: best believe they got more cameras than NYC in there

At the 3:30 mark crackers talking bout putting another driver into a wall

Yeah probably cause you're in Jersey I assume along with you being on the job. And think over the past years they may be more laxxed, but from 90's early 2000's they used to be bad.

I'd be too scared of rolling this lawn chair with wheels and a motor... or hitting a deer or asshole driver... right after 8:45 ne passes it in the left lane... I replayed it several times and didn't see it :dunno:

I might be too old and fat, but I'd like to give it a try. Only 10 minutes away from where I live. Down the road from that golf place.

Edison isn't really the middle of nowhere... place is busy as fuck with people from in and outta state (NYC, etc).

Now if you want to talk about the middle of nowhere, let's talk about the Englishtown Raceway park about 20 minutes south of Edison.... My parents moved about 10 minutes away from there in the early 90s, so I was at their house a lot. The raceway was way back off the highway in the woods. Every Wednesday night at the raceway they had drag racing events, and I think they even let amateurs get out there and race. That shit was packed and route 9 was too after the racing was over... all them white boys from Staten Island and Queens with souped up civics and shit, and this was on a work/school night, so you'd be surprised how many people might flock to something like that.

Ok….

Let me get this straight…..

Im gonna drive my car in Jersey, pay tolls on the expressway/turnpike to a place out in the middle of nowhere….pay $27 to drive a mini-car…..then get back into by car to drive home…..

What am I missing?
