Marketing Coordinator - Miami Heat (Miami, FL)
Overview: Serve as the point-person for all giveaways (both corporate partner sponsored giveaways and marketing department activities giveaways);Serve as the point-person for all internal giveaway item distribution and retail item sourcing and distribution for all HEAT Group divisions, including Basketball Operations; Manage the Marketing Department accounting process, including inputting information into the COACH accounting system; Serve as back-up person for Entertainment Team payroll process; Serve as the liaison with the NBA League Office on all marketing and sponsored promotions, including becoming proficient with the TPP (Team Promotion Proposal system);Work with the Legal Department as the initial point of contact for sponsored promotional activities, contests, sweepstakes and agreements as they pertain to promotional elements via the Team Promotion Proposal (TPP) process; Regularly visit the NBA Teamnet site to review other team promotional activities. Report on interesting promotions that may be effective in our market; Function as part of the Game Operations and Events department during games and events; Participate in the HEAT Group Season Ticket Holder retention program, the Buddy Program
Essential requirements: Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) to five (5) years of Marketing experience. Good communication skills, computer skills, including familiarity with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, negotiation skills, ability to multi-task, detail oriented. Knowledge of professional sports/ entertainment industry preferred. Excellent communication and presentation skills-verbal and written. Computer skills are a must- power point, word, excel, etc.
