Director of Scoreboard - Cleveland Browns (Cleveland, OH)
Overview:
The Director of Scoreboard Operations is responsible for the development and creation of all programming and video board elements including in-arena videos and announcements, Jumbotron and LED graphics, sponsorship elements, music and promotions. The Director will serve as the primary producer for all stadium events. The Director will manage all game-day video board production staff for both Browns and non-Browns events in the stadium. Responsibilities also include overseeing all equipment necessary for the operation of the department including, but not limited to, the Daktronics Video and LED boards, replay system, music playback, scoreboard switcher, graphics generator and editing systems. The Director will be responsible for managing the video board operations budget.
Duties:
Create and display all in-stadium video and audio programming which enhances corporate partners’ marketing objectives and overall customer experiences, keeping within the NFL guidelines as well as those of the Cleveland Browns
Oversee the maintenance of all scoreboard-related equipment
Identify, obtain and manage all staffing needed for scoreboard operations, to include game days, other events in Cleveland Browns Stadium, and all other needs for the Marketing and other Departments as determined by the Manager of Events & Special Projects
Contract or arrange with inside or outside vendors for programming, maintenance, and other needs associated with scoreboard operations
Create and display all non-game day programming (including interior and exterior) which enhances corporate partners’ marketing objectives and overall customer experiences, keeping within the guidelines of the City of Cleveland as well those of the Cleveland Browns
Develop year long scoreboard operations budgets
Approve and submit all purchase orders related to above mentioned budgets
Qualifications:
The selected candidate should have a minimum of 5 years broadcast experience including a strong working knowledge of shooting, non-linear editing, 2D and 3D graphics production and live line producing
The hired Director will have at least 3 years game operations experience with a sports team, preferable
The candidate should be an artistic person who understands the aesthetic of video and the necessary elements of game day presentation
