Wonder Woman gets Female Director from Game of Thrones

Michelle MacLaren has signed on to develop and direct Wonder Woman, Warner Bros’ big-screen take on the iconic DC character.

You may be familiar with some of Michelle's work, seen on popular TV shows like:

• Better Call Saul (She Directed the very 1st episode airing in 2015)
• Game of Thrones (Director)
• Breaking Bad (Director + Executive Producer + She Won 2 Emmys)
• The Walking Dead (Director + Producer)
• Law & Order: SVU (Director)
• The X-Files (Director + Producer)

MacLaren is in a class of her own - from Seasons 1 thru 5, she has been THE ONLY female to ever direct ANY episode of Game of Thrones.

If the movie script is good, we already know that the direction will be solid, so this Wonder Woman movie might give her a jumpstart on the 'Oscar Award' discussion as comparisons to Kathryn Bigelow / The Hurt Locker will naturally evolve.

If this works out, she's destined to be a major player.
Hopefully her visual sense will translate to the big screen with this project.
