Community leaders say video of racist tirade at mall 'embarrassing' for Louisville

told the Courier-Journalthat the woman became unhinged when one of the pair sneaked in line at J.C. Penney to add items to the other woman's cart.
A shopper at a Louisville mall was caught on video hurling racist insults at two women.

The irate woman lectured the pair to wait in line like everyone else, and peppered them with racist insults in the process.

"You are probably on welfare, the taxpayers probably paid for all that stuff," she can be heard saying. "We probably paid for every bit of that stuff. All the food they get and everything else."
When one of the two women said "I'm sorry," according to the newspaper, the woman responded, "It's OK, speak English, you're in America. You don't know it, learn it."
The mall bully was not shy about expressing her views, at one point saying, "it don't bother me if I say it and I don't care if everyone hears me. I think everybody here probably feels the same damn way I do."
Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer apologized to the two women.

Mayor Fischer doesn't. In a statement, he said he was "sad and disappointed" about the woman's behavior.
KING: White privilege extends to flying, people of color all know
"As a country of immigrants, we must understand that we only move forward through peace, acceptance and embracing those who are different from us," Fischer said. "These are basic American values protected in our Constitution, values embraced in this welcoming, compassionate community."
The mall said that the woman will be banned for life once they have identified her.
"Jefferson Mall strives to create a comfortable and convenient experience for all of our guests and we absolutely do not condone this type of behavior," read the statement.
