There are no guarantees that what someone will throw in your face is only soda or water. A man was killed in broad daylight when two women smeared cremes/gels on his face in an airport. With that being said, there is no way that letting her go before security or police have her in custody is an option. I am retired Military, I get the "well how do you feel" I tell them when I took the oath there was no mention of the flag or national anthem in it "support and defend the constitution" so they have a right to in accordance with the constitution.
