Woman Says Texas Lottery Won’t Give Her $83.5 Million Prize After Buying Ticket Through App

If people can’t claim their winnings when winning through the app, then the app needs to be shutdown and ever single dollar ever spend using it to purchase tickets needs to be refunded.

House always wins or...name of the game has always been to create all possible obstacles to payin you..

What's a 3rd party app?
I used to use it. In Texas is the one I use is called Jackpocket. You cannot buy lottery tickets and scratch offs directly from the lottery online. I’m not going to go into a store and buy lottery tickets because I just am not into it like that. So what you can do is go through a third-party app and buy the tickets online and then they go and actually physically purchase the tickets and send you a picture of the ticket that they purchased on your behalf. In this instance, Jackpocket is owned by DraftKings. They would set up an office. They would set up a office that was licensed to sell lottery tickets and when the orders would come in, they would just get the lottery tickets from the machines that they had at the office they had set up. DraftKings and our governor got crossways. I feel like this is a revenge move against DraftKings when they suspended Jackpocket’s ability to sell tickets in Texas anymore.

What is crazy is that the ticket seller gets a nice chunk of change based on the size of the jackpot if someone buys a ticket from them. So by DraftKings setting up a licensed lottery seller and then being the sole provider of the lottery tickets bought through Jackpocket since they also own Jackpocket, anytime anyone would win they would get a cut.
