I got a plaque, a gift catalog (not to exceed $300), and the option of a team party, or visa gift card. I took the gift card.

The team took me out to lunch anyway.

Kinda anticlimactic. When I first joined, there used to be BIG parties at the VFW halls for retirees.

Yeah the place I work for, use to have ceremonies and a fancy lunch for employees. That reached a certain number of years worked. After the company consolidated a few years ago. They stopped all that.
