He's expressed an interest at "returning home", and finishing his career in Detroit...and the Lions can sure use him. However, they may not be able to meet his asking price. Nastalgia only goes so far, then you have to consider the 'bottom line'...especially in light of the talk about a longer season...a very strong probability.

Being a 'salary cap' victim means that he won't get the $2.885 due on his contract. But whoever gets his servicse will have to pay him that ---and more. But he's worth it. The man has a sound track record.

If the Detroit Lions don't get him, the Patriots or Packers will. It's not every day good football players express strong interest in playing in Detroit. Unfortunately, they usually end up elsewhere.
