Who else saw this movie as a kid?

Growing up in my fam only shows on tv we watched was pbs and baseball.i saw this in elem, i think 2nd or 3rd grade.i remember it not being scary to me but i was . i watched it again today and after all i have learned about hollywood and world history,i find it sick and sad.the movie is filled with magic,sexual themes,foul language and so on.

the main family is called the Potters,father's name is Harry Potter.(1986 movie)

one neighbor reminds me of glenn quagmire he introduces himself as a swinger,what child knows what a swinger is?

older lady named Eunice St. Clair and she is a witch,most know who the St.Clair family is.

what the fuck were our teachers thinking showing us this?

PLOT: Three wealthy children's parents are killed in a fire. When they are sent to a distant relative, they find out that he is plotting to kill them and seize their fortune.

Good question. Before the movie came out, I remember when my nephew brought this required reading material home from school:

PLOT: Three wealthy children's parents are killed in a fire. When they are sent to a distant relative, they find out that he is plotting to kill them and seize their fortune.







I was like WTF is THIS????

i would have rather read that then that book about the boys trapped on the island or things fall apart

I feel you on Troll..I dont think think that Lemony Snickets was too bad though. I remember watching Troll as a child and thinking ummmmm this isnt right...lololol
I cant say it messed with my head though.
Now what did mess w/ my head is the zombie movies that my fam used to watch.......I will NOT watch a zombie flick to this day!

she is in 6th,i showed her dawn of the dead(old joint) last year,then day of the dead and so on....now the little one she's the "girly one".she dont like zombies or anything spooky.
