Why do some people deny the obvious "CIA and drugs connection"

I have conversations with some people about this subject and some still cannot believe that its possible. Even when you present them with evidence (names, dates, news articles, mysterious deaths) they still will not believe. I mean after the civil rights movement minorities was well on their way with becoming a major influence on politics, religion, business, economics, etc....The only way to neutralize the possible takeover is to destroy their way of upward mobility through dope. I mean what gives when this is a something that effected our communities more than anything else. Although it was a movie the line in "New Jack City" always boggles my mind. When Nino Brown told the lady" Aint no uzi's made in harlem, and not one of us owns a poppi field, this is bigger than nino brown, this is big business. Its the American Way".

Because most Americans don't read, and if they do read, its not with substance, and if its with substance, its not about issues which are not within their environment.

Plus... people don't give a shit...

Pretty much. Ignorance and denial are very powerful tools.
 
i have a point, why does it matter? Fact is we had people in our own community go along with it to destroy said community and continue to do so for their own limited gain. is it really that important after all this time?
 
It's the drug laws that have and are fucking things up. The biggest misconception is that there are more drugs in the hood than there are in white communities. We talk about the CIA when we should be talking about the judges, lawyers, politicians, and police who are all locking black folks up at an alarming rate while not doing shit to whites.

Even today, the crack-to-powder laws haven't been fixed. The school zone bullshit is also used disproportionately against black folks in poor areas. It can be 11 at night and they still tack on the school zone charge.

The CIA can flood all the drugs they want in America. If the drugs laws were enforced equally, drug prohibition would end tomorrow.

Fact is we had people in our community go along with slavery & Jim Crow too. Horribly premised stance fam, why shouldn't it matter?
