The answer is NIMBYism. White people use it as a weapon to maintain segregation and the perceived economic threats from other folks.
VS black folk who don't often have the political/monetary power to say no to these same businesses.
They provide a decent enough service in the community though.
In many cases if they werent there folks would have to go without
FHA's (Federal Housing Authority) , look at the "New Deal" of 1934.
This shit created redlining. It also allowed whites to get loans for businesses. It allowed Asians to get business loans to set up in Black neighborhoods, but not white neighborhoods. But it denied loans to Blacks for any reason.

There was a calculated effort to minimize and even stop Black wealth accumulation.
To undermine us. In black communities, you will see Chinese businesses ( dry cleaners, restaurants, and beauty supply stores), Mexican/Latino businesses ( restaurants, some mechanic shops), and Arabs with their corner stores. In some areas, you have Russians and their businesses. We get all the others coming to undermine us. We had all the stores and shops I listed above until the floodgates were opened drastically after the civil rights movement. We asked for other black people to come in and help black folks against honkeys but of course them honkeys brought in their backups in the form of Arabs, Asians, more Latinos, and more Euro trash.

I mean because black people aren't taking over those corner stores in their community and there's grants they could get to open up a store in their neighborhood if they're willing to do the work and get up every morning, make orders, stock the shelves being open 7 days a week.
Asians are willing to do the dirty work and hire their own family in their stores.
So, until our people take back whats there's then these asians and chinese are gonna keep buying these stores in the black community not giving a damn dime to our people.
