To a degree I think this should be on the main board. But it's a good drop. More people need to see and co-sign on this... but alas, I fear they are lost and too brainwashed to do so.

good post, you can teach yourself all the stuff that's in college, but you gotta want to do it. go to school for what you love! and it will be easy. pick affordable colleges and network and soak up knowledge and share ideas with your peers. education comes in many forms. some times a degree will get you in the door if your network is low. if you want freedom, start your own business and hire college grads like he said at end of video!

The sad fact is most people don't have the determination to work for themselves. I do but most don't. Personally I say fuck a job and a time card.
However a college degree improves your chances of getting employment and most people need a job to put food on the table.
Business are created. Some thrive and some don't.

How do you become a mathematicians outside of school and how do you practice medicine without school?

How many would let a self taught doctor perform surgery on them?? Im just saying..........You need school for some formal training....dudes always wanna be like fukk schoolMath is one of those things that are easy to prove. When you can wield derivatives like a ninja and people see this they won't question where you got your skills from. Getting a job on the other hand???? That becomes the problem.
If they had thousands surgeries under there belt and the patients were still alive and healthy, no problem. But I wouldn't be one his 1st patients.

Ok so the issue for college is that it affirms your education - in previous times - it wasnt college that trained you but apprenticeship and in some states quiet as it is kept - the apprenticeship model is still in place but for most people in this country - college is a brand and a doctor without college training or and engineer without a degree - would be like those can of green beans in pathmark with the white label that said green beans - nothing wrong with it but for a very few group of people out there - most people what to have nothing to do with a non brand can of beans - they dont want a non brand kind of doctor or engineer.
