Who remembers the BGOL Investment Group

I was following the create a blog thread and it made me think about the time a group of us came together and tried to form a BGOL investment group. It was a great idea and actually a lot of interest and energy. We did a bunch of conference calls. The big mistake we made:

1. We sent the money to ONE Guy - Yes, he stole it from us
2. Because that One Guy had the money, he had the control, Yes, he stole it from us
3. He stalled and stalled and came up with excuses, Yes He stole the money from us
4. By the time we at least got control of the group from him, over a year later, most people lost interest. It was a small investment, so I guess people didn't care.

This guy ruined a great idea. Just curious if anyone else remembers when we tried. I know Im friends with a couple of you on FB because of it, but no one has reached out in years. This all happened when I moved to ATL back in 2006-2007. Yup, a ways back.

Did I say, Yes, he stole the money from us

Was it Chase Bannon?

Diamond Investment Group or something we called it...I lost interest at the early stages of communication. I always imagined things had worked out and brothers were balling by now though :smh::lol:

I remembered and good idea. Cant imagine would be hard to do at this stage in the game with technology, protecting the loot...

Can it be done agian.. is the question? this time dot ur I cross ur t's. Maybe break it down into cities across the states. Just adding my to cents. Maybe it cold work. How many intelligent brothers on this board we can come up with something.

That investment game we played about a year or so ago was the next best thing. Wasn't real money, but the principles were pretty solid. We should start that back up.

I remember, but I didn't send any money. I was skeptical and as mentioned the communication was all over the place and I think it was Chase Bannon.

It was before he became a politician and had 30 suits. In reality can't blame one person. We all couldn't decide what direction to go into. I was pushing for more education before investing. Others were pushing for simulation. Others wanted to put all the money in Pork Bellies. As much as I would love to blame 1 person, we just couldn't decide as a group.

sheeet if I was leading that group we wouldve made money..

we wouldve been pumpin and dumpin...

buying stock, hypin that shit up as a group..

then dumpin that shit...rinse and repeat..
