Multiple publications have reported a story regarding the murder of Tupac Shakur and the confession of an alleged accessory to the incident, Duane Keith Davis, better known as Keefe D.

Interviewed for the American crime documentary Unsolved: the Tupac and Biggie Murders, the episode was broadcast back in May (recently reaching UK Netflix) and sees Davis speak candidly about being a witness to the murder.

The self-proclaimed “Compton Kingpin” begins by explaining that he has cancer granting him immunity from prosecution, hence why the confession comes 20 years later.

Davis explains that he was sat in the front passengers seat, next to Terrence Brown who was driving, while DeAndre Smith and Davis’s cousin, Orlando Anderson, were sitting in the back – all members of the gang, the Southside Crips.

The four members were heading to Suge Knight’s 662 Club, Las Vegas, looking for Tupac as the rapper had beaten up one of their fellow gang members earlier in the day. After Tupac never showed, they abandoned the club, only to see him driving towards the club, standing out the top window.

“My partner bust a U,” Davis tells the camera. “When we pulled up, I was in the front seat.”

Davis says the shots came from the back, but does not name the shooter. “Going to keep it for the code of the streets. It just came from the backseat.” Watch a clip from the show below.

Despite Davis saying he would not confess who murdered Tupac, during previous interviews with police – a tape from which has been released – he claims Orlando Anderson shot the rapper. Anderson had previously denied killing Tupac before his own death in an unrelated gang shooting.

Following the initial broadcast, the show’s creator Kyle Long was interviewed by The Wrap, saying that it’s “outrageous that Keffe D is not in jail,” adding that it ultimately “does not matter that he does not say who pulled the trigger.”

No one has been prosecuted for the murder.

FORMER COMPTON KINGPIN KEEFE D CLAIMS TO KNOW WHO SHOT TUPAC
IME EKPO

New details surrounding the murder of Tupac Shakur have been taking the surface ever since the debut of several docuseries dedicated to the investigation. Most recently, in now Netflix docuseries Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G., former Compton kingpin Keefe D confessed his role in the Hip-Hop icon’s murder and claims to know the identity of his killer according to Billboard. Born Duane Keith Davis, out of the need to honor the protocol of “street code” he refuses to give up the name of the alleged shooter.

Davis claims to be one of the four individuals who sat inside of the shooter’s white Cadillac that was strategically driven around Las Vegas on the night of Sept. 7, 1996, hurling a recall of when the shots “just came from the backseat.” Out of the four, he is the only one alive to who can provide insight on the shooter and happenings inside of that Cadillac, that night. “I was a Compton kingpin, drug dealer, I’m the only one alive who can really tell you the story about the Tupac killing,” Davis proclaims.

According to the once gangster, the main purpose behind his profound confidence is due to his failing health caused by cancer.

“People have been pursuing me for 20 years, I’m coming out now because I have cancer, and I have nothing else to lose. All I care about now is the truth,” said Davis.

According to The Sun, Davis went on to explain his connection to the shooting which is through his cousin Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson, a Crips gang member who was involved in an altercation with Tupac, Death Row top authority Suge Knight, and several others just three hours prior to the shooting. People connected to Anderson, including Davis began to search the streets of Vegas for the “California Love” rapper after the brawl.

In past interviews such as BET’s Death Row Chronicles, Keefe has also revealed the account of his involvement where he tells of how his crew ended their search for the targeted artist. “All the chicks was like ‘Tupac’, and he was like, ‘Hey’, like a celebrity, like he was in a parade,” Davis reveals in Chronicles. “If he wouldn’t even have been out the window we would have never have seen him.”

The creator of Unsolved Kyle Long expressed his discernment for Keefe’s confession on Chronicles, which is grounded in confusion as to why no one has been held accountable with the amount of information that has surfaced. “He went live on television and confessed to being an accessory to murder and the Las Vegas PD, as far as I know, is doing nothing about it,” said Long. He continued, “So that’s my rant about Keefe D and the Tupac murder, like to me, that murder, you could go arrest someone for that right now.”

I mean... this has BEEN KNOWN! I guess him finally saying: yah.... yeh... I’ll tell ya who did the shooting. Makes it official now??

Yeah I think a lot of people knew but this just confirms it. Gang life was serious back in the day especially out in Cali. Here in Illinois we had the Gangsta Disciples, Vice Lord's and the Latin Kings. 90's were brutal. A lot of of brothas got killed.

They jumped the wrong dude because he came back blast'n. When Orlando did his interviews you could tell he did something, I think during those interviews he realized they killed a Rap legend.

Man, his TAPED confession appears in "Murder Rap".

It was also reiterated in that 10 part USA show. Shit's well known.

But, people will believe anything. It still amazes me how cats believed Suge set him up...while in the car AND in the line of fire, being 3 times Pac's size! :smh:

Suge got 2pac killed but mixing music industry business with street gang politics where the only thing they take is you freedom or your life.
Suge's inner circle turned on him,so the people around him he used for protection started dropping,so that let's you know how much of a gang life he lived before the money and fame.

A lot of shit happened under his reign and he was really lucky to be able to walk around in LA like he did, they retired him for his own benefit but he has to make it 20+ years and survive in prison.

Cut the shit
Pac wanted wanted thug life and got it

Is PDiddy next?
Doubt it. Regardless if he was involved, at this point it'll just be Keefe Ds word vs everything.

No cell phones back then so no knowing someone's whereabouts cause of cell towers

No strap

No witnesses

No DNA

etc

The ONLY thing that can get Diddy caught up is if he actually made a wire transfer or some ish that went to Keefe Ds account (since that might be the only traceable thing TODAY). And even then I don't think Diddy would be that stupid

Keefy D has to be the biggest dummy ever to keep talking and talk himself right into a case again and this time won't be no getting out.

So hopefully he knows something worth telling cause that's the only thing that will save his old dumb ass.

After all of this I would of sad my old ass down somewhere excluded, smiling, shucking and jiving for some white folks in Vermont some where.Vlad and the rest of them fools aren't paying for no lawyers and won't put a nickle on your books.
