Who is the best cable service - Slingtv, Playstation Vue, or Layer 3 TV

So my verizon contract is up in a few days and I planning to leave Verizon fios. I plan to keep my internet service at $60 for 50/50 speed. Now with my research, it appears playstation vue offers the best overall experience. Slingtv is ok and has viacom stations that playstation vue does not have. Layer 3 just came to DC, but will be about 90 a month after their promotional period is up which is not good in my opinion.
What do you guys think? Anyone have any of the services listed above??
 
they all have pros & cons

the best thing to do is to check out the free trials to help narrow down your decision
 
they are all basically the same, you get all the basic cable channels like AMC, tbs etc. go with whoever has the best price or the 1 or two channels that the others might not have
 
I made the change for Internet TV over Cable. I have to say I don't miss cable other than the DVR function. I have Sling TV and that shit is starting to piss me off. Sometimes the channels will turn off or won't play. Their OnDemand on certain channels don't play. I'm thinking of moving to Playstation Vue. Sling needs to fix that shit, but for the price its nice. I pay $25 a month and i get NFL Network, TBS, AMC, and a lot of other big networks. Also, with Sling TV you can get a free Roku Express with a payment on your first month.

I will be trying out Kodi on Apple TV before I decide to move to PS Vue.

Gotcha. I am starting to investigate direct tv now. It appears ps vue and directv now are the better options.
 
YouTube TV looks promising but it's primarily geared toward sports channels right now. Just launched yesterday in a few cities.

Main thing I like about it over Vue is that you can keep "recordings" for 9 months vs 28 days

Nah lol. Never noticed they were missing. I used it for sports (sec network) hbo and travel channel. It had all the channels my kids watch and own for the wife

Can I watch NFL games on DIRECTV NOW?
The ability to stream NFL games on DIRECTV NOW is dependent on local channel availability for the market where you live. Secondly, you’ll need a connected TV device, tablet or computer in order to watch the game. Smartphones cannot be used to stream NFL games at this time and will result in a blackout error message.

Does this include games broadcast on CBS?

We are currently in discussions with CBS to carry their local channels on DIRECTV NOW.

Can I watch NFL games carried by Fox local channels?

Yes. They can be streamed on connected TV devices, computers and tablets. (Smartphones excluded.)

Can I watch ESPN’s Monday night games on DIRECTV NOW?

Yes. Monday Night Football can be streamed on connected TV devices, computers and tablets. (Smartphones excluded.)

What about NBC’s Thursday and Sunday Night football games?

You can stream Sunday night NFL games in select local NBC markets on a tablet or computer. For technical reasons, we are not currently able to stream NBC games on other devices.

Just made the switch to vue. I currently have verizon's 50/50 speed. Should I upgrade to 100?? I have wifi connected to a tablet, my cell phone, amazon fire tv, smart tv, and desktop.
 
why are you leaving fios...is it the price or the service?

I'm thinking of switching to them...cox internet been acting up for the last four fucking days now in my neighborhood...and they're fucking lying about it and tryna make it look like it's just me or something on my end

ya I remember looking into fios...they throw that low price @ you but when you factor in the modem...taxes and all the other surcharges and shit...shit was gonna come out to being damn near $30 extra per month so I didn't even bother fucking w/ them...but I'm so fucking sick of my provider right now
