I know this is old, but read the comments.
Whites are basically up in arms over Jamie Dukes (NFL Network "Analyst") referring to QB Ryan Mallett as Eminem/Vanilla Ice.

Now look at the comments from "guess who"?
They truly have no idea what racism is. Fucking cowards
And here comes someone with a brain and guess how many thumbs up/thumbs down he got:

Jamie Dukes calls Ryan Mallett “a Caucasian street guy”

Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett has been criticized from many angles. There are rumors, via Tony Softli 101espn.com, that Mallett did drugs in college, and that he may even have been addicted. Others scrutinize Mallett’s leadership skills.
We know he can’t run.
But NFL Network’s Jamie Dukes has struck a new blow to the Mallett pinata, and it has nothing to do with athletic ability, on-field performance, or off-field habits that could ultimately affect Mallett’s play.
“For the lack of a better phrase, he’s kind of the first — and forgive this phrase — kind of the Caucasian street guy,” Dukes said on Wednesday’s edition of Total Access. “And what I mean by that, he’s got that Eminem, slash, ya know, Vanilla Ice thing that goes on.
“I just don’t think, truthfully, people are accustomed to seeing a quarterback . . . having a little street in him. And I think that’s kind of unsettling.”

Of course it’s not racism. A black man can say anything he wants about a white man and it’s ok. Jamie Dukes…meet David Duke.

Warren Moon sees nothing wrong with this.
And for the record, neither does Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson.

If a white guy said this about a black qb he would be fired right after the show.

The Ryan Mallett Pinata… well at least its a bit more politically correct than the Rodney King Pinata

where is al sharpton and jesse jackson?? its pretty much the same thing as if there was a white history month, or a white entertainment television station, or a WAACP. or a united white folk college fund,.. all that would be considered racist….

And isn’t “trailer park trash” the white version of the N word? They are both stupid and over-used….

First of all, the guys claiming reverse racism here while continuing to bring Newton up in this same conversation are completely missing the point. What Dukes brings up is the same strange scrutiny that the black QBs constantly face because they are black, except he’s a white man.
Therefore, he’s facing the same strange questions of his character rooted simply in how he talkks and “carries himself as opposed to his game tape because I’ve scrolled more than a few comments on his past stories where he’s slammed as dumb, stupid, unsophisticated, and a whole lot of other things under the sun simply based on how he talks, which is unfair whether you’re talking about a black or white man.
However, reverse racism guys, trying to use this as your crutch, give me a break and get a clue sometime this century. You have no idea what racism means obviously if you’re drawing that parallel from this situation.
If anything, many of you have made Dukes point here in the past because you’re too eager to judge a book by it’s cover rather than what any of these guys can do on the field.
