White Castle Attempts Italian Food?!? - Food Feeder
Do you love the complex blend of herbs and and flavors in traditional Italian cooking? Well, you’re going to find none of those things at White Castle. But, heck, White Castle is running an “Italiano Fest” anyway, in hopes that their “Core Demographic” won’t notice the food is terrible. It’s worked for them so far! Subscribe: http://goo.gl/Z7lbS
As part of the Italiano Fest, White Castle has created three variations on their classic steamed-slider burgers. There’s two chicken options: the Crispy and Grilled Chicken Italiano Sliders. Plus a “Pizza” slider, which is one of their “Original” Sliders, topped with a slice of pepperoni, tomato sauce, and mozzarella cheese* (*Note: Mozzarella appears on the White Castle menu with an *Asterisk next to it).
They’ve also got Mozzarella Cheese Sticks, where the mozzarella may actually be mozzarella. But we’re not sure.
We’re in California, where there is no White Castle. So no taste test today. Want to hear more about these Italiano Sliders, go here: http://goo.gl/gdcXNo
Do you live in a region where there IS White Castle, and have you tried their Italiano Fest offerings? What did you think? Have you heard of other fast food takes on traditional cooking that you think are particularly noteworthy?
