In light of NY's fall from grace in the sports arena (Yanks, Mets, Knicks, Jets, and Giants)..! My question is what happend to our once great teams..? Why is it so hard for players and coaches to win in this town..?:smh: Mean while up the I-95 Beantown seems to be winning in every thing:puke: (Pat's, Red Sox, Boston College, Celtics, even some fuckin soccer team.!):puke: What the hell is going on NY..?:angry:

whats funny is the yanks make the playoff every year and it is considered a fall from grace.

Very True but as you are aware of anything short of championship IS failure to the Yanks..! Is this setting he bar to high..? How satisfying is "just reaching" the playoffs..? Truth be told the only team in NY that I would be satisfied with "Just Reaching" the playoffs would be the Knicks.. and maybe the Mets..LOL Since that would be a major improvement to our current status..!!

We take winning for granted here. But truth be told, sports in general is getting out of control with salaries and expenses.

People in general just don't give a fuck the way they might have cared 20-30 years ago

When I hear about a player basically shitting away 180K like Marbury did (by missing ONE game), it makes me sick and I could care less whether that brotha lives or dies

And he is only ONE example. We have so many instances of players; black, white and others who take the game for granted and only see it as their meal ticket

and not just the major teams. Smaller sports as well. Ever been to the US Open?? I know I'd LIKE to go, but they want you to take out a small loan just to watch a damn tennis match

Yeah every summer .. I work @ the U.S. Open.. and I know shit is crazy (prices) for every thing fuckin water is like $20..:smh:
But The sport it self, is in better shape (IMO) then most other's like Baseball and Basketball.. True the players get paid stupid $$.. but they seem to care more..!;) Maybe cause it's an individual sport, and It's a do or die.. like playoff's..!! I think the bigger problem is Corporate Amerikkka they have infested the sports.. Sure there's more money for player's.. newer stadiums.. HD broadcasts..:D etc..! But it's seem's the "soul" of the Game is lost..!!:smh: Back in the day there was more to it then just a payday..!! :hmm:Or is it we as Fan's (Consumers) are just bombarded w/ too much shit.. and are finally starting to wake up and see what is truly important in life (a la Ivan Boesky):dance::dance:
