What's the Boards impression of the Seahawks armlocking show of 'solidarity' today?

One thing those in the dominant society know to do is co-opt any movement against the power structure :smh:

In a nutshell, but Seattle's action shows how ballsy you have to be to do what Kaep did.

I agree totally and while I can appreciate them trying to show some solidarity with Kaepernick, it would've actually been better had they just not done anything.

If you're going to throw a rock at the white house, don't throw a pebble...chuck a brick from the front guard shack like Kap.

Solidarity is the white players donating to black communities.

All that other shit if fuckery, see my sig

having the oppressor determine how you should fight your oppression

the elders taught us before

we have to be diligent students in this war

else you will get fucked up out here

this is NOT a new war

just new players

Build on the lessons our soldiers left us

when you play with guys and sometimes hang out in a group with them...you see who grew up being the safe and loved negro...

they will never do anything to make their friends and family look bad because to them being inducted in their high school hall of fame means more to them than anything in this world and if they came from a white town in the south....they will never stand up for oppression or say anything to make those ol teachers and coaches feel bad

I will believe these so-called protests, if they are still doing it for the next few years. I suspect like most modern day American protest, once it's stopped being talked about the protesters will simply stop.

They could've popped locked to 'That's The Way I Like It" and it ain't gon' mean shit. Our issues as black people go soooo far beyond symbolic gestures.

We have an extreme lack of infrastructure and no organized military. Wealth generated from our own infrastructure and the might to protect is the ONLY answer ...

...not athletes speaking out, locking arms, kneeling or any of that.

Sometimes I feel we want an easy solution, and that shit ain't there. I deadass believe many black people voted for Barack because they hoped that that would be the magical cure. I mean, why else were we so excited? Just to see a black man elected and it not benefit us to an unprecedented degree?

They planted the seed and that's what counts

So even then next generation could pick up where they left off

All due respect but you do a lot of yapping about what doesn't work and what isn't and complaining about what other people do but in none of your post do you give a position on any alternative solutions with a clearly defined focus... You my friend are the worst type of black person in that regard... A say a lot do nothing type of individual.... Those are the most pathetic type of people really...

I knew it would be some bullshit when they had to announce to the media they were doing something.... Normally attention whores aren't about shit...

When they made the announcement I knew it too. That's my #2 team, but I may have to find another, because I was already disappointed in Richard Sherman with the Black Lives Matter and now this mess.

This is an interesting point, how can we show solidarity to our own cause? Showing solidarity is when white people take kneels and donate to our cause.

They fulla shit. THe entire strategy of that was to keep the brotha who sat with Kaep last week from sitting this week. That's all it was. Some bullshit. Because if that brotha said I'm gonna sit while yall hold hands they would be like "You ain't part of the team".
