Heading to Charlotte just to get out the city for the weekend with the shawty....going to check that Drake Club Paradise tour out on Sat. Need something to do Friday and later on Saturday night. What are some good hotspots? Not necessarily, hardcore clubs...maybe a lounge/ something more laid back or live music. Also some good eating spots!

Just head downtown. While there's something all over the city, downtown (Uptown as it's called) has been the center of the city's nightlife.

Charlotte is a nice city to settle down in, but...

...size of population considered, they should offer more to do.

the cool thing about traveling with your girl is that ya'll can be doing absolutely nothing & still have a good time (walk around the touristy spots or mall, get something to eat, get something to drink, then go back to the room & fuck all night)

the bad thing about traveling with your girl is that you can hit all the hot spots that everyone is suggesting,,, if she's in a bitchy/dramatic mood, the whole trip is gonna be fucked up

That's true and you should remind of her of that shit the next time she says "How come we don't go places anymore?"

The man asked to do stuff other just hardcore clubbing. Museums are good quiet places to take your girl where it's just the two of you. Since he's already going to see a show, can't hurt to do something different.

Now if sitting in the house is your thing, cool but he wanted to know about going someplace.

Like what?

Oh and Richmond, while you're here, hit some of those museums downtown, particularly the Harvey Gantt Center.

Well, I'll speak to what I felt was sorely lacking: Live music scene and singles scene.

Going out in Charlotte is hit or miss. Go out one weekend, it's kind of dead, and the women are looking extra regular. Go out another weekend, and it's alive, and the women would make you think you were in Atlanta.

It's the same with music acts that come into town. Sometimes people hardly show up, and others you'll get a huge turnout. That's why acts sometime leap frog Charlotte and go to Atlanta.

Charlotte needs to figure out a way to energize it's socially active population. It has a rep for being a family oriented city, and that perception 'causes a lot of people to not be as active socially as they could.

Good look on the feedback!!! Yea I plan to hit a museum up! As far as the club scene goes...I was thinking of something not to hood or young. I sure it'll be jumping with after parties when the show is over but I dont wanna be round to many young knuckleheads. I tried looking up the nightlife thru google, but google can be kinda vague sometimes.

Okay.
When I check the radio, there are always places talking up their live music.
What I do see is way too many people talking about being more socially active but not doing it. I've been to a lot of shows with a sparse crowd so I know it can be rough but the show is still there so the opportunity is there.

Will do...thanks!!!

I kept it general and pointed you to downtown because I don't know where you're going to be staying and downtown is easy to access from everywhere without Google searching or using Mapquest.

They have to figure out how to energize everyone. There is no reason a city with 700k just in the city shouldn't have a very active scene. That's a lot of fucking people, and that's, of course, not even counting the Metro.

I believe the hotel is by Southpark, i think! I didnt reserve the room so Im not sure but I remember her saying its about 13 miles away from the Verizon Amphitheater. Most likely, we'll be downtown (Uptown) alot

Yeah dont go to the literal "DOWNTOWN" Charlotte. They need to build a wall like on Game of Thrones right on Beatties Ford Rd.

Yeah, you're probably on the more northern end of the city away from SouthPark but closer to Northlake or maybe Concord Mills.
Have a good time.

:lol::lol::lol:
I love my city but if you make a wrong turn once you cross Graham Street, you have fucked up for real.

This "" said Concord Mills.

If you hit up a mall, go to SouthPark...

southpark is a very nice mall but people still travel to concord mills by the busload from out of state. But you made me remember Ballentyne Center. which is a nice place as well if only to look.
