Well, according to the ruling, they can't make you buy it, but they can tax you for not buying it to pay for someone who wants to buy it but "can't" afford it. Great, huh ?

Legal logic.

You are not "buying it" if you are taxed for it.

Believe it or not, they use that logic to justify some really outrageous things that the government does in the name of the public, like war.

If you are taxed for it, then you have no say in what you get, and have no recourse in court.

If you buy it, there is an implied agreement and you have recourse in the court.

Cute, isn't it? Another building block for the Empire and the Dictator.

You get to stay on your Pops HUD health insurance for another decade.

they can tax you for not buying it and then taking your ass to the emergency room and making the cost go up for those who did buy it.

buy a new car you must have collision insurance

drive a car you must have liability insurance

buy a house you must have homeowners insurance and if it lapses the mortgage holder will buy it for you at an inflated price

own an aggresive dog and you are required to have increased insurance coverage

open a day care you are required to have insurance

put on a concert you are required to have insurance

to bad they could not decline to give your ass care if you show up at the hospital and don't have insurance or enough cash to pay the bill.

I hope they make you buy a clue....

. . . or at least a vowel

Somebody call actinanass to make sure he's alright. I'm worried about him and have been since this was announced.

Oh btw
If you live in certain areas that flood often or are prone to hurricanes, you should be forced to buy disaster insurance so that FEMA (tax payers) don't have to come rebuild your house every other year.

AAA is quiet but I'm sure he'll resurface.

That's the scenario I'm talking about. Why should someone from Michigan pay hurricane insurance for someone in Florida? Why should someone in Rhode Island pay earthquake insurance for someone in Cali?

I just fall back on my self-responsibility argument.

self responsibility means you should have medical insurance so when the time comes you are paying for yourself.

if you are financially able to pay your medical bills you should have to show proof and then you could get a waiver.

but fuck all that going to the emergency room with no coverage and raising the costs for everyone else or using the emergency room like it's primary care.
