what musical artists own the holiday??

I don't give a damn but long as these get played at some point and where I'm at we have a black radio station that plays these joints every year and I'm thankful of that now.....if you don't tune into 104WDKX where you can listen to that good shit during this time of the year,oldies on saturdays and gospels on sundays.Black radio is damnnear dead.

White Christmas single by Bing Crosby sold 25-30 million physical singles and over 50 million more copies by artists other than Crosby. White Christmas Soundtrack/album sold 4 million copies in 1945-1950 and another million copies since 1950-present. Again not even close. White Christmas has generated 100s of millions of $ since 1942,AIWFC has generated $60-90 million.

you r right u win. I cant make you see facts obviously so congrats u win the in the bubble argument. I just showed you Irving Berlin wrote a Christmas song that has sold 3-5 times more copies than Mariah made 3-5 times more money,made Bing Crosbys career and u still taking about that song. OK

There's a 30 year time gap, and Mariah has done half his numbers already. Her song didn't exist for 30 years after his song. I hear Mariah's on the radio more than him during the Christmas season.

This is not a Kobe/MJ conversation. Im not taking about who is better. I like both songs and i like other versions of White Christmas besides Crosbys version. I am speaking FACTS and STATS. Mariah has not sold half his numbers 16 million is not half of 70-100 million Physical copies sold. the Christmas topic was who owns the holiday and the answer no matter who you personally like is Irving Berlin mainly because of the song White Christmas period. History doesnt mean whats hot today it means is whats the hottest for the holiday and that goes back to the 1800s when music was 1st recorded. Doesnt matter who is played more on radio today it means who has been played on radio the most and White Christmas and Yesterday have been played on the radio world wide more than any recorded music ever. So Mariah song is cool and popular today but its not even in the top 10 Christmas themed songs all time in terms of physical sales,money generated and radio spins thru-out the last 100 years.
