Telemarketer for local newspaper. Worked that job for one day. Telemarketing sucks.

I worked at a bindery. For 6 hours. It was really really hot and i was soaked in sweat and all i worked around were Guatemalan men who kept staring at me. So i left.

Walmart Distribution Center....

i lasted 1 day. unloaded one truck and that was enuff for me. that shit was during the summer....it was hot as hell in that trailer. no fuckin way.....i dont see how the mexicans did it.

Pretty much all my jobs were short term being that they were entry level.

Long John Silver's 3 months. My first job, great at first but when this over stressed manager flipped out at me because she was working 50 plus hours a week and couldn't afford the payments on her Geo Prizm hatchback, I dipped the same day.

1990_geo_metro_2_dr_lsi_hatchback-pic-9193.jpeg

BNY Mellon 2 weeks. Overnight data entry job, instead sleeping during the day I was fucking my girl so I was always tired. Work really repetitive so I left.

Quest Diagnostics 2 weeks. Decent pay and benefits but same as Mellon really repetitive work data entry work except this time your messing around with piss, shit, nut, blood too. Overtime mandatory, you had no life. I would of been balling out of control if I stayed there but money ain't shit if you never have time to spend it.

Old Navy 3 months. Fun job, easy to pick up white chicks but low pay.

Office cleaning 2 weeks. Wack job just to get by temporary.

William Penn Omni Hotel 2 weeks. Busboy, I left because of the racist snooty employee's and patrons.

Clean Water Action 1 day. WACK!!!! Going around door to door in some super white neighborhood asking for $120 donations a week before Christmas.

Giant Eagle 2 weeks. Worked in the bakery, hated it got fired for stealing.

Circuit City 2 weeks. Worked with a bunch of racist fucks so I dipped out on them during midshift when it was really busy to get back at them. Walked in the nextday to pick up my paycheck to a bunch of disgusted looks.

Dial America 3 weeks. One of the worst jobs ever!

Worked at a plastic pipe company, it was in an abandoned building, they wanted me to work night shift and then i saw the prison van dropping prisoners off there. I worked about 3 hours and left:smh:

deliverin' and installin' electric appliances .. i.e. refrigerators, washers & dryers ...

never really thought about how heavy them things are.. until i actually had to pick one up...

lower back problems run in my family.. and i knew if i stayed on...i was gonna injure myself ...

the dudes were cool though... the guy who woulda been my boss was real laid back...

apparently corporate didn't visit the warehouse very often... because these cats were playin' gangster rap and had pictures of naked women throughout the facility ...

another gig ..i was essentially a door-to-door salesman ... that shit sucked ..especially cuz i was tryna find summer employment while i was on break from school... and i stress the word summer ... meaning i would be outside at high noon...100 degree sun jus on the back of my neck continuously ... no fuckin' shade anywhere... gettin' door after door slammed in my face...

on top of that...i only got paid if i made a sell...

I worked at Books A Million for a half-day...I was there putting some books on the shelf and I got a call from another potential job and they wanted me to come in that same day for a interview so I told the MOD could I take a early lunch, she said sure thing .....got the other gig , saw the Books A Million manager about 3 months later, I smiled at her she turned up her lip and kept on walking.

worked a dominos for 1 day....
got little to no tips, locked out my car, pulled over for suspended tags over fukkin emissions, chased by a damn rott, all in the same day:smh:. I took the sign that dominos wasn't the job for me

Walmart....I unloaded those trucks for about 3 or 4 days until another job I applied for around the same time called me. Then I went in to WalMart and quit.

Fuck unloading them trucks...

first job at 18, usher in a movie theater, wasn't bad free movies and shit... was fucking my big boobed co-worker in an empty theater sometimes but quit after 3 months. Some savage with no hometraining went into the mens room and dropped a bomb, walls..toilet..ceiling...sink and paper dispenser covered in shit with piss on the floor.

Management expected me and another person to get it clean within 30mins and only had one pair of gloves and nothing else to protect us (masks and stuff)...me and my co-worker quit right then. I will never allow my kids to work in a mcdonalds or movie theater, ppl think they can go in there piss and shit and not clean up.

I have a lot of respect for ppl in the service industry b/c of that experience...they deal with a lot of animals in human form.

Computer Sales associate -- Shitty pay and a prejudice ass supervisor. Got my paycheck for that week + commission from a few sales and booked; took my ass back to school.

lexus dealership, had a nigga washing cars in the hot ass sun then the manager was a bitch ass dyke that i almost fought on the 2nd day

Data Center Technician - 2.5 days. Quit because I got a better job offer than the slave amount they were paying. :smh:

SHIT WAS TEDIOUS mainly because the place was like 20 Walmarts put together.

You had to walk to go locate servers. Some server rooms/racks were hot as hell, while cool in other rooms.

Spent my first couple of days getting a list of servers that need parts replaced and shit, and my walking begins. The servers were scattered all over so I kid you not if I walked an average of 5 + miles per day in that joint :smh:

They even had those scooters that kids ride as a mode of transportation to get around the data center. :smh:

I lasted one day as a dishwasher at Applebees

A friend of mine was working as a server at the time and put in a good word for me.

The manager was either an alcoholic or eccentric, it was like 7 at night and this dude is greeting customers, saying good morning. I was working with a bunch of mexicans and I asked them for booties for my shoes since I figured water would be flying all over the place. These dudes hand me 3 garbage bags and smile. I'm thinking this is some kind of new guy joke or something.

Then I see one of the dudes start to poke holes in one his garbage bags and wear the shit like a poncho. Then he put garbage bags on his shoes. I'm looking at dude like are you seriously going to walking around a wet area with plastic bags on your shoes? Motherfucker laughs at me and says its not that big of a deal, if you fall you see stars, I like stars.

I wear the garbage bag poncho but I'm wearing fucking garbage bags over my shoes in a wet area. I tell the manager about the slipping hazard, he just looks at me and asks who told me to use garbage bags for my shoes. Not for being a hazard but because using garbage bags for non refuse purposes is wasteful. I say fuck, I talk to my friend and say, yo we have to walk like 2 miles home in the middle of the night and one set of guys is using slippery ass garbage bags for shoe covers and the other is upset because they are wasting garbage bags.

Long story short, I finished the shift and walked home soaking wet and never went back to that place, when they called I told them to mail me my check.

Was it hard? I mean why you quit? I applied for them. Any insiders?

i was in the waste management healthcare solutions sector..hated that shit cuz you are always handling blood, piss and all type of other disgusting specimens..it was physically draining and just felt it wasnt the right fit for me..

worked as an assistant to a plumber for one day. He was working with a lot of heavy pipes, Boilers and heating systems. The plumber was a friend of my mother I hated him before that day already but I took the job because I was dead broke that summer. I started at 6am and we did not finish until 8pm. I told him don't bother picking me up tomorrow.

Same summer my friend Hooked me up with a "sales " job. I went to the office. They explained the job. I left and never went back. Basically, they wanted me to walk around in a jacket and tie and sell knock off cologne or whatever other cheap crap they got from liquidation sales.

then there was the bar back job. I originally went to check out this lounge in a swanky downtown hotel because I wanted to bar tend. They weren't that busy and said they have the shifts covered but they needed a bar back. I figure it would be easier to make the transition from bar back to bar tender when it starts getting busier. So i come in the first night and they are showing me where everything is and I am working with the bartender on duty to set up for the night. Running around getting trays of glasses, cases of beer, cases of wine and all types shit. End of the night I get tipped out by the bartender $20. I was pissed. I was not on payroll yet so I didn't even earn the $5 an hour or whatever they pay was. I was not mad at the bartender. He made $55 before he broke me off. 8 hours for $20? I told them thanks but no thanks.

All these jobs in college, lol! I didn't give a fuck!:

Post office-Sorting and delivering mail on campus. I see how that can be stressful for the city folk.

Rec Room Cleaner-Way too early in the morning, but I got my workout on before anyone else.

Cafeteria Clerk/Food handler - It was fun, but I just wanted to eat and talk shit.

The only job I kept was the Communication Equipment Room Manager position since it was in my field, easy and I got to hook up with a few chicks!

Oh and I was hired at Navy Pier in Chicago, one summer, but them fuckers told me I had to shave my mustache and goatee. I told them fucks I cannot work here and walked away without even starting that day!

Cool! I applied to be the trashman!! Shit, Roc looked like he lived good:D

I worked at a company that made pie fillings from 8 in the morning until lunch break..

It was too hot and I was under constant attack by bees.

I didn't even try and get my 4 hour check.

(Tried to sell) PVC Siding door to door in Central Oklahoma as a 19 year old black man.

So yeah, that went well....:hmm:

*two cents*

Worked in Telemarketing for a few weeks before quitting.

Worked fundraising for disabled and disadvantaged youth. We were outside on the hot ass blacktop during the summer. Worked there only 4 days before quitting. I could've have been good at it but the summer kicked my ass that day and I didn't want to go back.

Worked outside sales for a couple of months during the summer before quitting. That cash on hand was a great motivator.

None. At the age of 34, this is only my 3rd job.:yes:

Damn only three jobs. So you stayed on each job an average of what 6 years?
