everyday i see a car ahead drifting over the center line or riding on the curb or doing 20 in a 35 zone and when you pull up on them, they're fucking with their phone!

i saw this man this morning slam on his brakes just missing the car ahead and after he stopped about an inch before crashing, he put his hands over his face as if to say a quick prayer thanking god he didn't crash, and the asshole had a smart phone in his hands.

i'm not sure how it is in other areas, but i sit up high in a truck and about every three cars i pass, i look down and see the driver tapping something on their smart phones.

it's only a matter of time but as much as i like to drive and talk on my phone, i'll be glad when they just outlaw cell phones while driving!

as smart phones gets more popular, it's only going to get worse! :smh:

don't lie, how many of yall do that stupid shit sometimes?

Probably changing the song. I try to situate that before I drive but you don't want to get caught at a light listening to Seal "Kiss From A Rose" :smh:

That is a ticket in the state of IL if caught by the jump out boys. It is dangerous enough texting and walking. I seen people fall on train tracks, fall in water fountains, wander in traffic while walking and texting. So anyone who drives and text is a danger to everyone else.

I've done it, I'll admit. We all have. I limit it to stop lights, but not as I'm actually driving. Im not a habitual seat belt wearer either. But I am a VERY cautious driver. I pay close attentions to over drivers, and I am amazed at how many people are texting and driving. While my son was practicing driving for his permit, I made him take notice of how many others were on there cells one day. In a few miles, we counted like 20 people. I told him those people were going to be the biggest threat to his safety. And if I caught him on his phone while he was driving:itsawrap: For those wondering how I'm going to "catch" him, I'm looking into getting some of those anti cell phone while driving devices. I seen some on some news shows that may work.

I do it all the time. I know I shouldnt be its something that I do. I try to just limit it to stop lights

I used to be guilty of doing that dangerous shit but stopped when they started showing those dangers of texting and driving commercials.

I DO IT EVERY NOW AND THEN. BUT ONLY AT A RED LIGHT (WHICH IS STILL WRONG) AND IT'S A QUICK 1 - 3 WORD RESPONSE. I MAY TEXT A MESSAGE. THESE MOFO'S TEXT CONVERSATION. IF WE CAN'T TALK ON THE BLUETOOTH IN THE CAR THEN THERE'S NO NEED FOR ME TO KILL MYSELF OVER NO DAMN TEXT MESSAGE...
AND LIKE IT WAS ALREADY SPOKEN ON, PEOPLE DO THIS WHILE WALKING, JUST AS DANGEROUS. THE CRAZIEST CRAP I HAVE SEEN AND SOMEONE ELSE PLEASE SAY THEY HAVE SEEN THE SAME, WHEELCHAIR PERSONS TEXTING/TALKING WHILE CROSSING THE STREET AGAINST THE FREAKIN LIGHT...:smh:
I SOMETIMES DON'T EVEN RESPOND TO TEXT MESSAGES BECAUSE UNLESS YOUR IN A MOVIE THEATER, COURT, PLAY, TRYING TO BE SECRETIVE OR SOMEWHERE WHERE YOU MUST TEXT I PREFER A PHONE CALL....
THAT'S LIKE PEOPLE USING THERE CAMERA PHONE AS A STAND ALONE CAMERA OR VIDEO RECORDER. IF I'M GOING TO A FUNCTION I TAKE THE GADGET THAT FITS THE EVENT.

i saw a young sista the other day on the highway in fairly heavy traffic with her hands ontop of the steering wheel, texting.

i see so many accidents where people are getting rear ended, i'd bet money that half of these accidents were by people distracted by a mobile device.
:(

i try to use the voice texting feature. it's a law here in Bama but the fine is fucking 10 bux i think. I see it all the dam time. One dude had no hands on the fucking wheel while looking at his phone. as soon as mothafuckas pullin out of their parking lot they textin. i be like couldnt you have sent that shit while you crank the dam car

Once in a blue moon, I admit I get a little reckless just driving and doing shit on my phone/mp3 player and not look at the road, but only when I know for sure ain't nobody near me on the road and on a road I'm very familiar with. Otherwise, I just wait 'til I'm at a light.

When I'm in a conversation though, I pull over.

I remember one time, my girl was sending me homegrown pics one night while I was driving and I had to tell myself to pull over because I knew I was going to wreck something trying to look at these flicks and drive home at the same time.

But I didn't tell her I was driving because I didn't want to make her feel bad and I didn't want her to stop sending me the flicks, so I pulled into a Wendy's parking lot and just chilled for like 4-5 minutes so I could get a good look at these muthafuckas because she was busting it all the way open for me and I'm pretty sure I would've fucked something up.

i get in front of them and give them the old hard brake. that wakes them up but only in my work truck

I text short replies at red lights but while driving, i use Skyvi...and it's correct bout 90% of the time.

Driving with pops the other week ... some lady did a California roll-through on a red making a right turn and cut us off. I drove by her and he leaned out the window yelling obscenities like a crazed 65yo man. Shit was funny and embarassing. Bitch almost made us crash. She deserved the crazy man leaning and screaming. She was on the phone.

Had to get on my Ex about that shit. Was texting driving with me and her kids riding with her. I shut that shit down with tha quickness.

That shit is downright scary, man. There's already enough bullshit happening on the roads ... let alone throwing tech gadgets into the mix. Here in our province in Canada they banned cellphone usage in cars as of Jan. or Feb. (or so) of 2010. Forget what the fines are for talking/texting ... something like $160 or 170+ plus penalty point(s) on your licensing.

Not to be sexist but woman can't drive when completely focused as is so this shit right here is like a fully loaded gun and a finger on the trigger

I use to be real bad about it, but I take the freeway to work every morning and just the amount of people I see doing it all the time now, has cause me to stop. Now I will read something at the light but my texting has gone down to zero. And I often forget I do have speech to text.
