What if?

OK I'm bored, but I'm going to do some "what ifs". Feel free to add on..

What if Portland drafted Michael Jordan instead of Sam Bowie in '84??

All my "What ifs" concern high schoolers going straight to
the pros....for example:

What if Sebastien Telfair had went to a good college like
Marquette or Georgetown instead of opting for the fast money??

What if Omar Cook?? Shammgod?? Erik Barkley?? And about 15
decent players 6'7" and up?? Think they'd be playing now??

What if my high school coach let me play both ways? wr and cb, instead of just wr? :hmm:

Seriously though what if the Mavs never traded Tractor Traylor for Dirk?

What if there was no Micheal Jordan?

Think about all the great players who didnt get rings cuz they came across him.

PREFACE: inspiration for this post came from runaway slave's contribution to my doug christie thread.

WHAT IF michael ray richardson and otis birdsong had had AT LEAST ONE GOD DAMN MOTHERFUCKING complete regular season together?

cocaine addiction be damned, that would've been some beautiful basketball... possibly one of the greatest backcourt tandems in NBA history...

:smh:

What If ya'll niggas did somethin Better with Ur Time Than Post a Dumb Asss What if Threadd. hhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmm What If?

what if NBA broadcasts didn't have to pander to the interests of NON-basketball fans by putting shit eating promo spots for black eyed peas, fort minor and now the pussycat dolls :puke: in their broadcasts?

what if NBA broadcasts were all about the BASKETBALL GAME itself?

what if ABC recruited people who KNOW BASKETBALL to work the games instead of people like jon barry and tom tolbert (who can't dissect a play to save their lives)?

EDIT: ABC pre-empted the last 2 minutes of the heat-cavaliers game to cut away to the oscar awards red carpet.

what if the lakers lost the coin toss and the celtics took Magic instead of Bird

what's good, EMEJ?

actually, the boston celtics drafted larry bird in 1978, the year BEFORE earvin johnson was drafted in 1979.

strange but true.

What if Jordan hadn't retired that first time. Would Houston have won those two championships? Or at least one of them?

What if Superstar calls didn't exist?

What if Sam Cassell didn't get hurt before the T-Wolves/Lakers series?

What if Karl Malone didn't blow his knee out the following year?

what if AD and the microwave had not butted heads and ko'd each other in game 7 of the 1987 ECF?

what if isiah had not sprained his ankle in game 6 of the 1988 NBA FINALS?

1987 and 1988 would have re-written basketball history had they gone down just a little bit differently. the detroit pistons would have dominated the late 1980s, and the fakers wouldn't have repeated (as the next FOUR CONSECUTIVE teams did).
